Iason and not Jason

Hi! My husband is Greek, and we’d love to give our baby a Greek name. We really think Iason is fantastic, but it’s usually translated as Jason, which we don’t find as pretty. So we’d prefer to keep it as Iason. Do you think it’ll cause a lot of confusion? And how would you pronounce it when you see it? In Greek, it’s pronounced more like “iaason.” Thanks in advance, everyone!

Yeah, it’ll probably cause some confusion, but I think most people have to correct their name from time to time anyway. Everyone has their own way of pronouncing a name, even common ones.
Go for the name you like, and friends and family will get used to how it’s pronounced pretty quickly!
