Ons Meutje
I’ve started tracking my temperature for the first time this month, but what should I be looking for around my ovulation?

Our Meutje, I'm also tracking my temperature in the first month. I've already ovulated. You only know that for sure afterwards, unfortunately. Your temperature will drop on the day of ovulation, but there should also be a significant rise after ovulation. That's why you only see later that you've already ovulated. But after a month of tracking, you'll have a better idea of your cycle.

Well, I'm entering round 8 and unfortunately had a pregnancy after round 4 that ended at 9 weeks. So I wanted to try again this month, like tracking temperatures and ovulation tests, and as my partner suggested, to get more active. Start earlier and keep going longer. So this month I'm going all in, hopefully with success. Otherwise, my confidence is slowly sinking, and I want to talk it over with my partner or maybe take a break from it.

Pff that's less than ideal, our Meutje
I'm rooting for you guys that it works out quickly again, don't lose hope (though it's easy for me to say with my 2nd round) but don't let them get you down, talking about it can definitely help!
    Good luck

Meutje, I'm already in round 13... I've been using ovulation tests over the past few months. This month I've combined them with temperature tracking. When you've been at it for so long, you're willing to throw everything into the mix to get a positive result!

I didn't try with temperatures... I went straight to using ovulation tests... This is much clearer, I think... Now I know that I ovulate on day 15 of my cycle, so I only use ovulation tests on days 14, 15, and 16 to see if it's slightly earlier or later...

I hope you all get pregnant soon!

    Love

I'm also tracking my temperature and using ovulation tests for the first time this month. If you're ovulating, your temperature goes up a bit. 0.2 or 0.3? I think I read somewhere. I'm using the Sensitest ovulation tests but still find them a bit hard to read. The lines are still a bit lighter than the control line, so I don't think my ovulation is here yet. Which tests do you all use?

    Miekeanne,

I'm currently using the Sensibaby from Sensitest. Reading it isn't that difficult. I understand that the dark colored line is the control line. If you don't see a line, nothing is happening yet. If you have a second, lighter line, your ovulation is approaching, and if the second line is just as dark, you're very close to ovulation. That's what I understand from it. And it works for me; I started on Monday, one line, and since yesterday, a second line is very faintly visible. According to my app, my ovulation should be on Friday? So I'm hoping to get that second thick line then.

    Hopefully, this helps you.
    Good luck!

I’ve also been using the Sensitest. I do see that the test line is getting darker, but it’s hard to tell if it’s as dark as the control line or just barely not.
I’ve had a nagging feeling on the left side today and yesterday, and the test line is getting darker too. My temp was 36.3 this morning, now back to 36.1 like usual. But I wasn’t really feeling great yesterday either, so no idea if that’s related. Does your temp go up or down around ovulation?
How are your test and temp going, my dear?

I’d say day 14, but then your temperature would drop while mine rose yesterday. I’m not really sure, though—I’m tracking my temperature for the first time this month myself. Good luck!

Haha, yeah, it’s still pretty complicated, right!
I thought I felt him clearly on day 12, but now I’m doubting myself even on day 9.. (now that I’m looking at the chart so closely) I just don’t know if she can be that early.
  11. Light22 #12

My temp has gone up nicely (36.8), normal is 36.5/6. Hope it's good news and stays that way haha. Can't wait to see MiekeAnne, how are you doing?
  12. MiekeAnne #13

Can't wait to see! Had a super positive ovu test on Friday. So we had a cozy evening, but on Saturday my man got sick, so I hope it was enough. Also had a temp of 36.4, normally 36.1/2, so I hope that's a good sign. When is your NED?
  13. MiekeAnne #14

I'm keeping my temperature here at babble. It's public so you can see it right away. I find it hard to say anything about it yet...

    Hey Ons Meutje,

Honestly, I find tracking temperatures pretty complicated too. I did it for two months, but I had quite a few temperature fluctuations. I got pregnant in the third month, but it ended at 11 weeks.
Since this month (7th cycle, 5th attempt since the miscarriage) we've been using ovulation tests because my cycle has changed. I ovulated on the 15th instead of the 12th day.
I hope we haven't been timing it too early all those months... I'm definitely glad about the ovulation test though.

    Good luck with it!

@MiekeAnne, I'm rooting for you! I hope things keep going up for you!

@Wens1985, I don't really get the temperature tracking either, but I try to keep track of my symptoms every day, and then I try to figure it out a bit that way, when I have (roughly) the same symptoms during my cycle days.
And of course I'm rooting for you too!

If it doesn't work out this round for me, I'll start testing with ovulation tests too, my period is on the 24th, tomorrow is a week. Fortunately, I'm more patient now than last week! And doing more than waiting isn't an option either, so yeah, let's just hope for the best

How can you delete dates from the babbling temperature calendar?
I entered the wrong date, but now I can't get rid of it haha
  17. MiekeAnne #18

@Light22 I don't know how to do that either. I can change a filled-in date, but not delete it. And when I enter something, if the Ovutest says positive, it shows negative, and vice versa. Can we maybe put this up with the site admin?
  18. Light22 #19

Yeah, I think it could work, just put it up with the moderator. Because it's not really clear.. (personally I think so) and indeed strange that he gives it to you exactly the other way around.

Hi, thanks for the input! I'll take a look at it. It'll probably be Monday though.
