baby's routine at 3.5 months

My little girl is now about 3.5 months old. At 3 months, she drank 5 bottles of 150ml with 5 scoops. According to the CBG, she was too heavy and advised reducing one scoop per feed and, if possible, dropping the last bottle. This went well for about another week and a half. Now I've switched to 4 bottles of 180ml with 5 scoops, so still one scoop less food than normal. She has a tidy daily routine:

7:30 first bottle
11:30 second bottle
15:30 third bottle
19:30 last bottle

Usually, she gets very restless after the third bottle; she sleeps for about half an hour and then remains restless and tearful. I have the feeling that she is hungry and wants her bottle, but if I give it earlier, I'm afraid she'll come earlier in the morning... My question is actually, if I give the third bottle with 6 scoops, will this help satisfy her hunger for a bit longer... or would this have no effect?

I think you should just use 6 scoops for 180 cc, otherwise the ratio isn't right because it'll be too watery. Maybe they mean you should use less water too. So 120 cc water and 4 scoops. It should also say on the packaging how many scoops go with how many cc of water.

no no she really meant a bit less food.. then she suggested adding carob powder to thicken it because it was indeed too watery.. I did that and then he got constipated :| so I stopped giving him the carob powder..

no no she really meant a scoop less of formula.. then she suggested adding psyllium husk to thicken it a bit because it was indeed too watery.. I did that and then she got constipated :| so I stopped giving the psyllium husk..

Okay, then they probably meant that. Otherwise just do what you feel is best. By the way, the pediatrician does say that sometimes. I think you could just do 4 bottles of 150 ml with 5 scoops. That way you'll have one less bottle. But really, just follow your gut.

What a shame that she got stuck. She must have had quite a bit of trouble with it.

Our little one is almost 3.5 months old and drinks 5 x 180 ml + 6 scoops of sleep powder. Nights are good. Gets the last bottle at 6, 10, 14, 18 and 21 o'clock. Can't get it later, but just gives it because he sleeps through anyway.

From four months on, you can change the morning bottle to a cereal bottle, e.g., with rice flour (not wheat flour, as that can cause constipation!). I’d definitely not give too much formula feeding because babies convert it into different types of fat (white fat) compared to when they’re breastfed (brown fat, which burns off quickly), and that’s really not so good for your baby.

I'm curious when he can have his first fruit bite! So cute!
    That'll be messy haha.
Had my first workday today, could've cried, but it was nice in the end. Now I'm happy to be home again. Still here tomorrow evening, then I'm off.

If you want to follow the CB advice, I'd say for the last bottle, indeed use the normal amount of scoops.
