Stringy white discharge?

Good morning!
Yesterday I really had white, stringy white discharge and it stopped today. But a lot of stabbing pains in the groin, I'm now a week out for my period, temp is still rising a little bit. Sensitive nipples and belly, it stays a bit. Had a real ovulation, with stomach ache, tired, sore nipples and emotional. I'm still irregular with my cycle, so everything is new to me. From the 14th I was on the pill (due to PMS), now 11 years later, I wouldn't really remember it from back then except for the bad stomach pain.
So now we've been off the pill for over a year, we'd like to have a baby!
Who recognizes this? Of course you always hope that it worked this time. Thanks in advance!

    Tricky. I always have discharge around my ovulation. Did you ovulate? How do you know for sure?

    Natuulijk it's always a bit of a guess, but once I start holding water and get sore nipples, I know it's time, followed by a clear temperature rise, from 36.4 to 36.7/36.8.
    After ovulation, it got a bit thinner, like yogurt, I guess (what details, sorry!). And now it's thick, stringy mucus, not clear.
    I'm just curious what others have for symptoms, just interested!

    Hi,

    I totally relate to this. I’ve also been off the pill for a year now. Last month I had a clear temperature spike, but not this time yet—I’m on day 16. Still, I’ve got very tender nipples and am feeling all sorts of things in my tummy.

    I think every month that it’s worked, but so far nothing. On Thursday evening I have an appointment with the gynecologist for the first time. I’m curious, because for the past few months I’ve been dealing with irregular cycles.

    I hope it hits the mark for you this month.

    Did you know that sperm can also have strands
    Yeah, it's not transparent but more of a white, stringy mass.

    Also, it looks similar to fertile mucus, so don't confuse it.

    Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, I got my period after that.
    Now I'm waiting for the next egg again, but I know now that I get all those symptoms AFTER ovulation!
    Mel, I'm really curious how your appointment went! But please post in our other thread so you don't have to tell your story twice

    If my question is clear now, can I close/remove this thread too, and how do I do that?

    I just wanted to reply again.
    I read something tonight about the Billings method (a pre-historic contraception trick).
    If you read about it, you might recognize something of what you describe yourself.
    (Stretchy discharge just before ovulation, thinner after that, then dry)

    Hi! I had unprotected sex on March 26th, and a week later I had salmon-colored bleeding for two days, then nothing. I haven't gotten my period since. It's now June 13th, and I've had long, stringy discharge for 3 weeks—no itching or anything. Are these pregnancy symptoms?
