I'm scared I'm pregnant. I'm not that old yet, so I don't want that of course. I'm on the contraceptive pill and had sex without a condom. It was almost a week ago, but I've been feeling nauseous a lot, with headaches and very tired. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet because I don't want my parents to know I think I might be. I just don't have the money to buy one myself. So how can I find out if I'm pregnant or not? Help!!

Dear guest, it's unfortunate that you think you're pregnant when you're not that old and on the contraceptive pill. I can imagine you don't want to tell your parents right away. I hope you have someone in your circle you can share this with. And someone who can help/support you if you turn out to be pregnant and you're going to tell your parents, but well, that's still a long way off. First, take a test...
Tips for you for a free pregnancy test: you can get tested by your GP who, due to professional secrecy, can't just pass it on. Also, some midwifery practices offer a free test per month that you can pick up or have sent to you. Search online for which midwifery practice is near you and check their website if you can get a free test or call them.
Good luck with that! I hope your symptoms are coming from somewhere else.

Normally, the contraceptive pill is safe enough to prevent pregnancy.
If you've just repeated it every 12 weeks, there's probably nothing wrong.

I've been on the contraceptive pill since last year and I have the same symptoms as you. I think it's because your body reacts to those foreign hormones. It's quite a hormone bomb that gets injected every 12 weeks, isn't it?

    When was your last shot?

    I don't think you're pregnant, though.
