Carrying your baby...

Hi everyone...

Once our girl is born, I’d really like to carry her...
Yesterday we went to a drop-in morning to get info on a suitable baby carrier and learned a bit about what carrying means for you and your baby! It sounds so nice to have your baby so close to you! Are there other moms who carry their babies or want to start carrying? And what are your experiences?
Would love to hear more about it!

    Hey Lynn,

    I have a carrier like that that goes from 3.5 kg to 9 kg, so you can definitely carry your little one for at least a year. I find it really comfortable, especially because it gives your baby lots of support. Apparently, my girl likes it too because she always falls asleep nicely in Mama's arms. You can also adjust it so your child can look around comfortably, so it's totally ideal.

    At Prenatal, they were advertising them for around 30 euros, I think.

    That's so lovely! I also think it's great to have them so close by and easy to manage. The wrap I got can be used from when they're newborns up to 18 kilos...
    I still need to get the hang of the knots a bit, but it's not too difficult!

    Oh, how nice! I've been thinking about that a lot too. It's a lovely idea and looks so beautiful. I just read somewhere (I don't remember where now) that it's better to wait until the baby is born before buying such a wrap. I don't remember exactly why either, but I'll try to find the source again.

    Okay, I'm curious to hear what they say about it... I didn't hear anything during the info day. I think it's very personal what you want and find nice! And your baby should find it comfortable too, of course! But I haven't heard any stories that it isn't! That woven wrap turns out to be very nice... Your baby can be in it from day 1 and feels very safe and cozy!

    I use the by kay wrap and it's really nice and can be tied in multiple ways so you'll enjoy it for a long time!
