I'm starting my next cycle with Clomid and I'd love to find some connection with someone else. But you can also join in even without Clomid if you're going for it now.

    Hey hello,

I just finished my first round of Clomid. I started with 50mg. But unfortunately, after 4 internal ultrasounds, it turned out I didn't release an egg on this dose. Now I'm still waiting for my period so I can start again, but well, it's just not coming... so we'll wait and see. I have to wait until Friday and then call the hospital; if my period still hasn't started, they'll probably induce it and then start with Clomid 100mg.

But have you already started? If so, did you have any side effects... and did it work?

    Greetings, Eline

    Hi hi,

We've been at it since January 1, 2012. And only started the first round of Clomid 50 in February.
So that didn't work. And I'm still not pregnant. That's why I called the hospital today to ask how to proceed. Now I've been given medication to induce ovulation. And if I do get pregnant, I can start again with Clomid 100mg. I find it all super exciting again. Luckily, I'm getting all the support from everyone around me. And I'm keeping my hope that it'll work out this year. Do you get an ultrasound around day 10 too?? It's exciting. I hope it works for you, because yes, our bodies are just weird like that. But I'm really curious if everything will be okay for you. Keep me posted. Good luck in the coming days.
    Best wishes, Eline

    Hi,

I'll probably get the next round of Clomid (if the test results are in on time). Right now, a specialist nurse is monitoring my cycle. I had an ultrasound last week, but no egg was ready to pop yet. She said it's going to be a long cycle, . I need to have another ultrasound on Tuesday. Also, I had blood drawn yesterday to check if all my hormones are in order. The gynecologist said that if everything is fine, I'll get Clomid.

I'm really curious how you all feel when you're taking Clomid? Are you extra tired or irritable or..? Anyway, it's nice to have girls with experience in that area!

    Best, Renske

    Hi Renske,

Oh wow, those must be stressful times for you too. I didn’t have much trouble with Clomid during my first round. I occasionally felt dizzy, had headaches, saw flashes of light, or felt nauseous, but mainly in the morning. And it went away quickly. Luckily, you only take it for 5 days, and after that, you don’t have any side effects anymore.

But maybe the higher the dose, the more side effects you get. Keep hoping for your ultrasounds, because after taking Clomid, I had four of them, and they were just to determine my cycle. You also had a very late ovulation, so things might still work out perfectly. Good luck with everything.

    Best, Eline

Every body reacts differently, of course, so it's best to wait and see anyway, but it's nice to be able to share! Glad you didn't have any more issues after those 5 days! The gynecologist expects me to ovulate, but indeed, it's late. I have that idea myself because I have a temperature and a clear rise, and besides that, I feel the ovulation and have very painful nipples in the days after. For me, Clomid would purely be to get an ovulation earlier. But it's indeed all quite exciting!

For you, it's really shitty that it didn't work!! I hope you get your period soon and can start a new round.

And Ahanna, did you start today? How are you feeling?

Hi Renske, how was your ultrasound yesterday?
And Elientje, how are you doing?
Things are good here. Occasionally some cramps and last night I had light flashes, but no other side effects so far.

I do have PCOS. That's why I'm getting Clomid.
It's not that strange that the counting is different at another hospital.
At least not in my case. It's a bit tricky to explain on a public forum because it's quite complex, but at the first hospital, I wasn't with my current partner. Then your chances are naturally completely different.
That was also the reason I stopped. I met my partner. It's nice to get to know each other first. Starting a fertility treatment right away is very fast and rigid. I was actually trying to get pregnant as a single woman with the help of a donor. Hence, another hospital, because that option wasn't offered at our regional hospital.
After that miscarriage, I probably should have started Clomid again. In my case, it was different. I got pregnant on a leftover dose of Clomid from my previous treatments that I couldn't bring myself to throw away. So when I had a miscarriage and, in consultation with my partner, wanted to go for it again, the whole fertility treatment had to start from scratch. So another intake, waiting period, etc. Some time passed because my medical file from the other hospital had to be transferred and my partner was abroad for a while. That's why I'm even happier that we can finally really start. For me, a lot is already known in this world, but there's still a lot that's different. For him, everything is new.

Well Renske, I hope you're pregnant now. Skipping a round is so frustrating.
I'm getting my first ultrasound on Thursday. Pretty nerve-wracking, right?
Is your temperature tracking going well? I don't think so for me. Earlier when I was tracking, the numbers were all over the place. Now it seemed to start off okay, but since yesterday I've suddenly gone from 36.6 to 37. And for my egg, day 8 feels too early to me.
So just wait and see. I also find it makes sense that I have to start over. I just felt it was a shame that the preliminary phase took so long. But at least now I'm back in the race. And... it's really nice. His sperm is fine. So better chances.

And how are you doing, Elientje?

    Hi ladies,
I started Clomid in January. This is my 3rd round now.
I already had a baby with Clomid's help (got pregnant on the 1st round).
After that, I got pregnant once without medication, but unfortunately, it didn't work out.
How about you all? Do you have a lot of side effects?
    Love, Nova

I was going to start the next round of Clomid, but luckily it’s not necessary. Wishing you all the best of luck! I hope you get pregnant quickly, without too many side effects!

I had my ovulation and am now on the waiting bench. How are you all doing? It's nice that Renske doesn't need Clomid anymore. Why is it no longer needed?
  11. ahanna Guest #12

ok. I can already see it on your test. Congratulations!

    Thank you!

    Hi!

Here's another ally ! (I hope this isn't an "also" topic hahah)

It's already been 1.5 months since it was confirmed that I have PCOS (I already had a suspicion; it runs in the family and I have quite a bit of acne and slight excess hair growth.. Sounds nice, huh )

Over the past month, I've been to the gynecologist several times to see if maybe something was happening after all. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I have an overabundance of eggs, so nothing is happening..
Last week, I was allowed to start taking Duphaston (took it for 7 days). Last Thursday, I got my period. Yes! I think this is the first time in my life I'm truly getting my period. I've never lost so much blood..
Tomorrow, I'm supposed to start taking Clomid (50), and on the 10th day, I need to come back for an ultrasound.
I guess it could still take 1-2 years for everything to work out.. But it's still exciting to see what this first hormone treatment will do..
    We'll see!
    Xx

    Hey hey!
I started too, but in February. First round, everything was perfect, ovulation happened, but no pregnancy. So, onwards to the next round, you'd think... unfortunately, the second round didn't work out for me, so I got Clomid 100mg for the 3rd round. Since everything looked good, I got medication to start my period. But now I have a big question mark over my head. From yesterday (Thursday) until today, I've had brown mucus discharge, which I usually get at the start of my period. But it hasn't progressed into actual bleeding yet. Now, I should be starting day 3 of my cycle with Clomid. Do you guys think I can count this as my period?

    Greetings!!
