Pregnant?

Hey everyone!

Just a quick question: I had a "little incident" where I wasn't trying to get pregnant. I didn't think much of it because my periods are very irregular. Two days after that incident, I ovulated (I always feel when this happens). Normally, my period starts about two weeks later. But this time, it didn't come. So, just to be safe, I took a pregnancy test. It was negative, so I was totally relieved! But now, a week later, my period still hasn't arrived, and I don't feel like it's coming at all. However, I've had a weird taste in my mouth the whole time, and I can't stand chocolate anymore, which is usually a huge addiction of mine! So, can you still be pregnant with a negative test? Or does it sometimes take longer for your period to start after ovulation?

Thanks in advance! xx

    Hey hey

It could also be that you didn't have enough hCG in your urine at the time of testing, which is why the test was negative! So I would take another test if I were you, since it's been a week now. If it's negative again, I'd make an appointment with your GP.

I would definitely test again because it's possible your hcg level was still too low for the test.
Good luck and keep us posted?

    Hellooooo

I'm new here and need some advice.

I stopped taking the pill in August 2012. My partner and I really want kids. I've been tracking my cycle and it's either 23 or 26 days long. Never had a longer cycle. I also know when my ovulation is using ovulation tests. My partner and I had intercourse 2 days before my ovulation and 2 days before my expected period. I was supposed to get my period on Tuesday, March 5th (day 26). Today is day 27 and I still haven't gotten my period, so it's 1 day late... I took a Clear Blue test today but it was negative... Who has advice for me?

Pukkie Plukl, it's possible that you just don't have enough hCG in your urine yet. If I were you, I'd assume a longer cycle of 26 days. And test again on Saturday or Sunday.
Your hCG doubles every 2 or 3 days.
If this is still negative and you haven't gotten your period yet, you can always get a blood test from your GP; it shows up faster in blood!
    Good luck!
