    Kaat, I don't know any other variations off the top of my head. Try the baby name search engine on Brabbels. You enter a few names you like and it gives you a list of names that might also appeal to you. Highly recommended!

    I think Marie is the prettiest.
    Is Kato also an idea?

    I don't see anything special about Kaat, I just picture an old saggy woman, sorry. I don't like Marie so much; Marieke or Mariea sound nicer to me, or Marianne. Much nicer than Marie, which sounds sad to me. Good luck with your choice.

    Honestly, I don't really like Kaat; it reminds me of Katebell. And Marie sounds so cliché. Marianne is nicer, indeed, than Marie.

    I completely agree with Iza. Kate sounds much prettier.

    I don't think Marianne and Marieke are improvements. They're a bit old-fashioned. Marie is nicer. The name that's hip again is Mia.

    Kaat: I think Keet or Kate (English) are nicer than Kaat. Kee could also work.
