Ovulation???

Ladies, please give me your advice.

This morning I had painful twinges on the left side of my belly for about half an hour. Later in the evening, I felt like a ping pong ball was being pushed through, I was quite tense. Now it’s still a bit sore on the left side, but not as extreme. Could this be my egg or preparation for ovulation? According to my calculators, it could be my egg, but I don’t trust them 100%. My partner and I were having a nice time last night and on Friday . If this is indeed my egg, is it enough for a chance of conception? And is it wise to keep having fun or maybe do it again tomorrow evening?

I’d love to hear your advice/experiences.

Love, MiekeAnne

    Hi hi!

I had exactly the same thing!!!!
But I also don't know what it was... now it's gone!

And yeah, we were also quite social!

Hi Star 85, it's gone for me too now. I do feel my egg more often but never as intensely as before. Last night we were both tired so we just had a quick, cozy time ;-) But well, something is better than nothing, right... When is your due date? Mine is March 4th, the wait feels so long haha

My one on March 3rd! Hahahaha!
Waiting feels like it takes forever............

I have no idea either, I've also had sore breasts for a few days now... Dare not to hope but I'll do it anyway!
Also, my lower abdomen feels weird!

    Hellup!!!!!

    Good morning..
Weird, right, that you can feel so many unknown things when you're not sure. Mine's still a bit on the left side, but not as bad as Monday. My tummy's acting up sometimes with short little twinges, bubbly feeling, and this morning after breakfast I felt a bit nauseous. I think it's probably too early for that though? I'm not really thinking about it anyway haha..
So we'll just wait and see again :-)

Yeah, I still have that bubbling feeling too....
But yeah, it's weird how you can suddenly feel so many things now, but we're also being more mindful of it!
And we're waiting..... and waiting.... and waiting......

    hihihihi!

When would you be able to test at the earliest? How many days before your expected period?
  8. Ons Meutje #9

I thought you could test about 4 days before your period. But only with a test that can detect it.
I think on Monday, February 11th, I might have felt my egg for the first time in my life. According to my calculation, it should have come on the 14th or 15th. We had a nice time, of course. My period is on March 1st.

    @ our little group
How do you calculate your egg? Do you use ovulation tests or something like that? I use the calendar but even then it's not always accurate.. So I always keep it a bit flexible, unless I feel him as good as last Monday.
  10. Ons Meutje #11

I'm not using anything at all. I've been counting myself using a calendar and the WomenLog app. I find those ovulation tests pretty pricey. And we did get pregnant this way before the miscarriage. So I'm hoping it works out again now. Just one more week to wait and then I'll know. If it takes longer, I might start using ovulation tests. Have you ever heard of the Billings method? I hadn't either. I read about it somewhere on the forum and am now looking into whether it makes sense.

That's the fertile cervical mucus method, right? I pay attention to my cervical mucus. For me, it never becomes completely clear and only sometimes stretches into short threads. But there is definitely more of it during my fertile window. I also don't use OPK tests; I find it cozy to do, but then it becomes very obligatory.
  12. Ons Meutje #13

Yes, that's the one I meant. I think my egg was on Feb 14/15, but the discharge wasn't clear at all. So I'm really curious.

Samantha80, I read that you're combining the temperature method and cervical mucus. We had a lovely time on the day of the spike, and also the day before and two days prior, but it doesn't look like it worked this time. I've had brownish discharge for 3 days now and feel like my period is coming... So unfortunately, I don't think it's this month.
Could it be that your cervical mucus didn't become completely clear and stretchy? Because then maybe we missed the right days...
  14. Anonymous #15

Yes, that’s definitely possible. Usually it’s sticky with a white tint, not like egg whites though. The transition can sometimes be so quick that you don’t even notice when it becomes clear.

But ovulation hardly ever happens during the egg-white mucus days though But that’s the blacksmith’s secret

    How are you doing now?

You're on your period today if I count the stitches as ovulation.
