Ovulation??

Ladies, please give me your advice.
This morning I had painful twinges on the left side of my belly for about half an hour. Later in the evening, I felt like a ping-pong ball was being pushed through,
I was quite tense. Now it's still a bit sore on the left side, but not as extreme. Could this be my egg or preparation for ovulation? According to my calculators, it could be my egg, but I don't believe it 100%. The man and I were hanging out last night and on Friday 
. If this is indeed my egg, is it enough for a chance of success? And is it wise to continue hanging out or maybe do it tomorrow evening?
I'd love to hear your advice/experiences.
