There’s been a question here before about how long you can ski during pregnancy. Personally, I’d keep riding the motorcycle until the uterus rises above the pubic bone. Until then, the embryo/fetus is well protected by the pubic bone, which absorbs the worst impacts, but after that, I’d stop. You’re much more vulnerable on a motorcycle than in a car, and if you have an accident, your belly and baby are so vulnerable! No matter how well you ride, unfortunately, there are plenty of idiots on the road you have to watch out for.

    Thanks for your reply, anyway
Yeah, it shouldn’t always be about yourself, there are plenty of idiots on the road.
But since I haven’t been pregnant yet, around how many weeks or months is that then?

    Hi Ziva,

I’m already 11 weeks pregnant and still riding my motor. Around 12 weeks your uterus rises more, but I’ll keep riding as long as I fit in my riding suit. After work I sometimes unzip it a bit because the waistband is too tight, but it’s still fine! I’d say: enjoy it as long as it feels good!

    hi!
I gave birth just 2 weeks ago and I'm already back on my motorbike.
I had decided before I was pregnant to just keep riding, but you'll see that the little one in your belly will mean more to you than the risks that come with motorcycling!
I know people who rode throughout their whole pregnancy, so anything is possible???? Listen to your own body and feelings!

With my first pregnancy, I kept riding my motorcycle, but at 8 weeks my baby's heart stopped beating. Now, I'm pregnant again and I don't dare to ride. I'm afraid the vibrations from the motorcycle might cause problems.

    Good afternoon.

I'm now 13 weeks pregnant. Maaf would really like to keep driving. But indeed, as you read here, it does make you doubt. Who, oh who can help me? With the answers.

I personally wouldn't start riding from the moment I became pregnant. I didn't even ride my scooter (but I did drive the car normally). It's not that I was scared, but better safe than sorry. And what was said above is true: you're indeed much more vulnerable, and an accident doesn't have to be your fault. Plus, you have a whole life ahead of you after your pregnancy. You can always ride for 9 months, right? That's just my opinion.

Personally, I wouldn't go motorcycle riding anymore if you were pregnant. It just comes with more risks than driving a car. My mom also still rode a motorcycle when she was pregnant with me, at the time she didn't even know about my existence, and even looking back, it didn't feel very comfortable to her.
So now, enjoy those last rides!

I agree with the others. You're more vulnerable, and that's not wise. I'd stop too. You still have a life ahead to enjoy with your child, not at high speed. An accident isn't just your fault, but the consequences are. Stop now and choose safety.
