Has anyone had experience with the chicken head feeding?

Hi ladies...

By the time it's time, I'd really like to start breastfeeding again. The nice weather will be here by then, so I think we'll be going out quite often! How did you manage breastfeeding on the go? I don't feel comfortable exposing my breasts in public, so I've seen this Kipkep nursing cover. Is it worth buying, or do any of you have other suggestions?

Thanks in advance, ladies!

Love, Lynn

I just put a wrap over it and found a quiet spot somewhere in a corner or something.

I don't know the "chicken head" but that worked fine too.

    Good luck!

    @Lynn,
If I'm, say, nursing with someone around who I don't know, or I don't want them to see my breasts because I sometimes feel uncomfortable with that, I'll unclip my nursing bra and then put something like a wrap towel over it. Yeah, I can't explain it very well, but you can't see anything.
What exactly is a "kipkep" thing anyway? I can't picture it at all :-)

    Love from me

    Hey Ju and Annemarie,

    Thanks... I think that's a good alternative!

Ju, that kind of thing is actually also a sort of cloth... It has an opening so only you can see the little one when you're feeding... Just Google it.
I also breastfed at Vito... But during that time I didn't go anywhere or think about feeding times because I didn't know how to do it in public! Ha ha, I'm such a klutz!
How are you doing with your girl?
    Hugs to you both

    Love, Lynn

Gosh, I've looked at it once, seems ideal for his diaper, but a wrap or something similar works too, of course.
So I'm learning something new here again as a maternity nurse, a kipkep??? Now I know what it is.

    hey meutje...

ha ha... I didn't have a clue either at first! I figured it out too!
What a nice job, maternity nurse! It's nice that you'll soon have your own little one too! How are you feeling?

Well Lynn, it's still going up and down for me. I do hope to get pregnant again soon. But the miscarriage in December really took a toll. I notice that emotionally I'm not quite myself yet.
But I do have a super nice job; it's beautiful to be able to be part of such a beautiful and intimate moment between two people again and again. I hope I'll get to experience that myself someday too. We can really go for it now. I just got my first period after the miscarriage, so who knows, maybe a Valentine's baby for us??

    hey girls,

I didn't phrase that so well!! I was a bit confused and assumed you were also pregnant... Oooo I'm so sorry! Yeah girl, I believe you have ups and downs and it won't be easy! It's good that you've had your period again and especially that you're so positive!! I really hope from the bottom of my heart that you'll get pregnant again very soon and that nothing will stand in your way anymore! It's your turn!

    love!
