My girlfriend's fear

matthijsGuest ·
My girlfriend is 37 weeks pregnant and she’s super scared that her vagina will be too tight. Well, the midwife says it’ll all be fine, but yeah, she doesn’t really find that very reassuring, I guess.
She’s only 17—does that affect the pain or anything? And second question: can we do something to prepare her? I’d really like to help her out.

I get your question, but I think on a serious forum you should use serious language too, especially if you want people to give serious answers. "Kutje" is just vagina, birth canal, whatever. And every woman is afraid it won't fit, but that's what contractions are for—they make the cervix soften and open up to 10 cm (the diameter of the baby's head). If labor takes too long, especially during pushing, the doctors might do an episiotomy to speed up the birth.
Everything will be fine, but it's logical that she's worried. Some say massaging the perineum (the area between the vagina and anus) with special oil helps make it more flexible and less likely to tear. It's especially helpful to listen to the midwife during pushing!

    Dear Matthijs,

I hope you're serious, otherwise I'll ban you very quickly. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now, but as Iza already said, this isn't the way to get in.

    Nonsense

Last week I (naturally) gave birth to a girl.. (7 pounds)
My age is 16 so that doesn't matter whether it fits or not.
And I don't think your language is nice either, you could have phrased this differently!

    Greetings Heart

He's 17 and a guy, I think it takes guts for him to even ask this! I was also 18 for my first. Well, childbirth is no joke. They'll make a few small cuts to give enough room, and then they'll stitch it back up neatly. Since she's young, she'll probably recover faster. Support her during labor, be yourself, but be tactful.

Well, if they gave out awards for rude remarks, I think you'd be a serious contender! My boyfriend is becoming a father for the first time, and he's also scared (more for me, I'm just a little lady), but he asks such things with respect.

Now, indeed, what a language to use.
And my opinion is that every woman can give birth to a baby, and there are 100,000 for that!
I couldn't imagine either how it would be or how it would go, etc. Our first son is already 3.5 months old now. I just let it happen to me.
At night my water broke, and less than 8 hours later, my son was already here with a little cut.

And yes, there will be a second one when we don't know, but the desire is there.

If it really doesn't work out, they can always switch to IVF.

Listen, Mattijs, the "nouwhijd" has nothing to do with that. That's a mistake many men make. But nature has made a woman so that no matter how tight it is down there, the baby comes out naturally through contractions. And I also hope your question is serious, because some men want to find out how it is for women on this forum in this way. You don't want attention, do you? I hope not.

haha genius with that video attached hehe. And yeah, not meant to be too mean for the guys out there, especially young men, it's proven that a man is 2 years behind in brain development... this has nothing to do with intelligence but with development. In that regard, it's easier to watch a clip to make it simpler

    @Inemien83,

Hahaha, that’s exactly what I was thinking, but the friend in question has already given birth. I thought it was something recent, but whatever. So several guys have something to go on, it’s becoming quite clear, and if not, they can always check out Dr. Corry

Best wishes and good luck with the last 10 weeks....

    Love, Ju or rather MavanMi
