I'm so tired.

39 weeks pregnant, doctor says 38 (I think she's wrong, it's an IVF baby so I know exactly when she was conceived)
I've been sick all through my pregnancy (vomiting, heartburn, couldn't eat)
I've only gained 4kg and my little one would already weigh over 4kg.
I'm literally exhausted, I've barely slept for months, I'm in pain everywhere (back, hips, groin) I've had false labor for a week that's very regular but not strong enough to start everything off, cervix that's softening and 1 cm open.
I'm extremely irritable and constantly crying over nothing.
My husband's kids have no respect (you clean up and less than 30 min later everything's messed up again).
His kids are sacred to him and I can't say anything.
Sorry for the rant but I needed to get it off my chest, I can't talk to anyone about it, not even my mom.

    Hi girls,
I totally get it, it's not easy at all to get through those final weeks, right? Especially when you have such a tiring pregnancy with all the ailments!! Yeah, you probably know your due date pretty well yourself, I think.. well, they're always just estimates from the OB-GYN, of course, but a week can make a big difference.. I'm at 40+3 now and they've been hinting since December that I should be careful not to miss the date.. I've had dilation since 35 weeks and regular contractions.. now I even have contractions peaking at 100 and between those high peaks, I'm at 70 and they won't really pick up pace... So I'm completely fed up!
Thankfully I don't have other kids yet.. but I have a little brother who's 9 and when I'm at mom's it's quite a hassle with all the noise and big mouth, just showing no respect, you know.. So I can understand why you'd go crazy over that.. It's a shame your husband reacts like that, saying they're his children..
And your mom, that you can't turn to her.
Well girls, I wish you lots of strength and hopefully you'll give birth soon so you can rest and enjoy.. Hopefully the problems will sort themselves out and you can really rely on your husband!

Lots of love girls, vent to me, feel free to write it off here, it'll do you good!!!

    Hi,
thanks for your support, even though you're having a tough time too.
The regular contractions (every 10 minutes) always reach between 100 and 105, but since they don't last a full minute, they're not real contractions yet.

And when I dare to complain to someone, I get the reply: "You've wanted this for 20 years, so you should just take it all in." I can handle a lot, but I'm only human, you know.

Thanks again for your kind response, and I hope things go quickly for you now so you can hold your little one in your arms.

    Love, Maya

Schedule a nice pregnancy massage for yourself; you can really relax, and who knows, the oxytocin you produce from relaxing might help your contractions get going. Good luck!!!

    Hi Iza,

I followed your advice, asked my husband to massage me before bed, and you guessed it, less than an hour later the contractions started.

Our daughter was born 19 hours later.

    Lots of love, Maya

Our little one is now three months old, and the situation hasn't changed. Luckily, we have a beautiful daughter who has already been sleeping through the night for about five weeks, and during the day she's also a super calm baby. I'm enjoying her so much!
