HCG in your body

If you suspect you're pregnant, ask for a blood test (I don't know why, but I think they can test it that way).

I had to have my blood tested until it was zero; it took about three to four weeks. Two months later, I got a positive test due to the next pregnancy. Maybe it still matters how much hcg was left in your body, I don't know. I also think that if you've had a period and then test positive again, it could very well be due to a pregnancy. Do you have a positive test? I had this same question when I got a positive test again, even though I had been checked. It does make you doubt... Love -

Hey RJ
No, I haven't taken a test yet. I'm still too unsure. The doctor also said it could take 5 or 6 weeks for my body to pick up my cycle again. I think if I test now, I won't really know if I'm pregnant.
After the miscarriage, they didn't suggest measuring how high the hcg was. I should be getting my first period now. The miscarriage was in December. -

I stayed on for check-ups because it was a BZ (blighted ovum), but luckily it ended up being a miscarriage on its own. It was quite nerve-wracking waiting for that first period after a miscarriage. I kept wondering how long it would take. Luckily, it came pretty quickly. For me, the miscarriage itself took quite a while. Once that first period came, it gave me a bit of confidence in my body again, I felt, that it was still working, and of course, the fact that you could try again. Are you guys ready for that already? I got pregnant again right after that first period. I hope your period comes through quickly and that you can get pregnant again soon. Love. -

Yeah, it's definitely exciting. I also wonder if we shouldn't have waited for that period to pass before trying again, since that gives you more certainty. So yeah, we're going for it again. To me, it feels like a missed opportunity if we skip this now, especially since I'm turning 35 soon. I'll just have to see it as an advantage that I might already be further along in my pregnancy than expected. That way, I'll already have a few weeks behind me where I didn't have to worry. I expect the first few weeks to be extra stressful for me, given the miscarriage. -

Hi ladies! As you've already read and discussed earlier, I've had the same experience. Only, after my miscarriage, I got my period again after 2 weeks, which is pretty positive
So we're going all out again, I hope we can all hold our little angels in our laps soon. It's quite nerve-wracking, I can't wait anymore, getting impatient. I've been feeling really off for a few days and already nauseous. With my previous miscarriage, I wasn't nauseous until much later. Could it be that you can already feel nauseous 1-2 days after ovulation?
Cheers, Esra -

Hi Esraa,
I wouldn't know if you could already be feeling nauseous that quickly. It's annoying if it keeps up though. Is this your first baby? For me it is, my boyfriend has 2 kids from a previous marriage.
When I had my miscarriage I wasn't nauseous or anything at all during that time, I felt really good. And now I feel good too but I'm still quite nervous whether I'm pregnant or not. -

Hi Esraa,
Have you been trying for a while now? I had the same fear you did. Deep down, I was worried that it would take me 11 years to get pregnant, just like my mom did. So I was afraid that something like that awaited me, or even worse, that I’d never get pregnant at all. After 4 months of trying, I was finally pregnant, but unfortunately, it ended at 9 weeks. Have you had multiple miscarriages? I’m really curious to see how things go for you now. I didn’t have any issues during my 9-week pregnancy either. Just a few minor symptoms like sensitive nipples, the feeling of my uterus growing (which felt like mild menstrual cramps), frequent urination, and a different sensation in my lower abdomen. Before I took the test, I already had a feeling that I was pregnant. The strange thing is, I’m having that same feeling again now.
I’ll definitely keep you updated. I’m not entirely sure how everything works here yet, as I only joined this forum after my miscarriage. But I haven’t had my period since the miscarriage, so I’m waiting for that now. The doctor said it can sometimes take longer than usual. If my body returns to its normal pre-pregnancy cycle, I should have had my period last Thursday.
Now, though, I’m also worried that it might take longer, maybe 5 or 6 weeks
so it’s still quite suspenseful for another 2 weeks.
I’d like to take a test, but I’m afraid that if I test now, it might come back positive because of the miscarriage, and the hCG might still be in my body from then. If I don’t get my period in these 2 weeks, I’d like to know where things stand. Secretly, though, I’d also be a few weeks further along in my pregnancy and closer to the ultrasound where I’d hope to see a
.
But I tell you, those 2 weeks feel so long! But I guess you’re feeling the same now.
Talk soon, greetings, and have a nice day! -

Hi our Meutje,
We've been trying since April now, and I got pregnant in October, but it lasted 6-7 months and ended in a miscarriage. It happened in my husband's family too, so he was more scared, but the tests were good. I didn't have a miscarriage, but I did have an abortion about 5 years ago. I do hope it happens soon though, because I don't feel like going through those 6-7 months again and waiting. We were so happy
, but I did already give it a place, which feels good too. Honestly, you're better off just waiting with the tests. I don't want to test too often anymore. In my pregnancy from October, I was 1.5 weeks late before it showed a faint positive; all that time it had been negative. So best just to wait, and indeed, then you're also a bit further along. Anyway, I hope your Nod day really stays Nod
I hear from a lot of people that it happens much faster when you're not actively trying. I'm also trying to really let it go, which is going okay, but only when I'm chatting about babbling stuff, not before. At first, it was really day and night. I've already got the names ready for my baby
)))
Cheers.
