Nice chat
I also need to get this off my chest, I'm completely overwhelmed.
Hey lovely ladies,
Sorry I haven't been online for a while, just didn't have the energy for it.
I've been running a virus in my respiratory tract for weeks now, and I've already taken quite a lot of medication, but nothing helps.
Sleep is a drama, my belly and ribs hurt so much it's not normal anymore.
Last Friday I had to go to the midwife for a check-up, and it turned out my sugar was too high again. So I was immediately sent to the hospital for a sugar test.
Last Saturday night into Sunday, I got another terrible coughing fit, and of course you lose some urine because your bladder is a bit weaker. But I nearly died of fright because my bed was soaking wet. I had to change everything with this big belly of mine, then went to shower. My husband was sleeping downstairs on the couch because he couldn't get a wink of sleep due to my coughing. But I didn't want to wake him. Early Sunday morning I came downstairs, had strong contractions and just didn't feel well. I could only cry. Eventually, my husband called the midwife. She came by and referred me to the hospital because it was a doubtful case whether my waters had broken or not. After tests, measurements, and an ultrasound of our little girl, it turned out everything was still intact. I have to say that was a relief. The doctor immediately checked if my sugar levels from the lab had come in. And yes, they were there. So I have gestational diabetes again. So I'm being transferred to the obstetrician and have said goodbye to the midwife. Yesterday I had to report immediately to the diabetes nurse, where I got my injection kit again, and went to the pharmacy to pick up my insulin syringes. I now have one insulin syringe for the day and one for the night. On the one hand, I've accepted it, like it is what it is and let it all come to me. But I'm really upset about it. The only thing I want is to feel a bit better. And just have a good night's sleep and be able to sleep through the night without coughing. I'm drained, empty, and have no energy left. The whole pregnancy went well and I felt good apart from some minor pregnancy complaints. But this is breaking me down. I can't wait for our girl to be born and hopefully my body will recover a bit then.
Sorry girls for my complaining, but I needed to get it off my chest.
Hope everything is good with you all. I'll go read up here and there for a bit. I'm quite behind.
Love, Renate74
