The pill, IUD, injection???

I had the same problem because I’d never used anything before.
It’s actually a miracle I hadn’t gotten pregnant earlier.

Our baby was planned. We were already pregnant that same month.

I absolutely do not want an IUD,
my sister just had surgery on her uterus and intestine because her IUD had simply grown right through it!!
It’s not clear yet if she can have children anymore!!

If I wasn’t breastfeeding, I might have gone for the arm implant, which lasts for 3 years.
Or one of those pills.

Now I’ve been taking the pill for 2 days because since I’m breastfeeding, I have no other choice.

I use the NuvaRing and find it really nice!

Well, I’m now the happy mom of 3 kids, and since Vera was born (or rather, even during the pregnancy), I feel like our family is complete. I no longer have the desire to get pregnant.

Besides that, the risks are getting too big for me, considering my age and the fact that my high blood pressure is pregnancy-related. So I want to get sterilized. Or maybe my partner.

At first, the plan was for him to get sterilized, but I’ve now heard about a very quick and simple procedure for women. I’ve discussed it with my midwife, who told me it’s called Essure. I’d like to get more information about this now.

    Best, Gerda

I myself use the NuvaRing because I often forgot to take the pill.
It's a ring that you insert into the vagina and remove about 3 weeks later at roughly the same time. A few days later you'll get your period, and then you need to insert a new NuvaRing on the same day you normally would—so, for example, if you usually put it in on Wednesday at 8 AM, you'd do the same with the new one.
I find it really convenient, and you can still have sex!
Check with your GP—they know more about it.
