sooo impatient

OOOH, throughout my whole pregnancy I kept hearing 'it's gonna come sooner than you think', even the midwife thought I'd go into labor early and here we are.. still 3 days until my due date!
I feel like a little kid but I really can't wait anymore! I want to hold our girl so badly.. ooh! And now that my niece has given birth, I'm getting even more impatient... She was due on January 14th and I was due on January 7th but she gave birth 15 days early!

I keep telling myself: max two more weeks!! (then they'll have to induce right :s ) but it really doesn't help.. I watch a movie, read a book and make clothes and all sorts of things on my sewing machine but I just keep getting impatient!
Wonder if there are many moms-to-be walking on the edge of their seats at the end.. but man man, I'm going to be so happy when our little one starts squeaking!

    Hi Caroline, I know how you feel. I'm also due around January 8th.
    For me, it can come anytime now. I went to the check-up yesterday and they said I'm already 3 cm dilated. If nothing happens by Monday, they'll induce me on Monday, so I'm actually quite happy about that now.
    Hopefully it won't be too long for you either.

    Tammi, I wish you both lots of luck and hope your baby arrives soon and without induction!
    I’m heading to the gynecologist soon.. They never did internal exams (except right at the start) so I’m curious if he’ll check or not. Sometimes I wonder how on earth they even get in there, but if he does check, I’ll definitely feel it, right..

    Hi Caroline, they did an internal exam at 37 weeks for the first time. And yes, when they touch it, you'll definitely feel it, but don't worry—it's a weird sensation, but they know what they're doing.

    Same here, ladies!
    Even though my due date is January 21st..
    My first internal exam was at 35 weeks and 2 days, and I already had 1-2.5 cm dilation then. I went back for a check-up this morning, and the dilation has changed slightly because my cervix is starting to shorten. Normally, I’m supposed to go back next Friday morning. Our OB-GYN said she won’t induce me because it could happen spontaneously at any moment, and our girl is positioning herself well to push. She said she’ll see me again on Friday or even earlier! So I’m curious, it’s clear we won’t make it to January 21st. Our girl weighed almost 3 kg at 37 and a half weeks.
    Hopefully, you guys will announce your arrivals soon, and the waiting will be rewarded!!
    Enjoy those big bellies while you can, girls, because we’re going to miss them!!

    Hey girls..
    I'm back home and yep, they could feel it from the inside but it wasn't that bad; it's not like she had to twist and turn to feel something.. he could reach in easily apparently. I now have a 2 cm opening and on Tuesday I'll be induced at the latest.. So now I'm crossing my fingers that our little one starts kicking hard, pushing and bringing on contractions because I'd really like to give birth naturally!

    She weighs about 3.200 now, I think the OB said. 'Dreams can come true' good luck to you too! I know two ladies (a good friend and now my cousin) who gave birth at 38 weeks so it could happen any moment hehe

    Hi Caroline; it turned out to be less than expected.
    Exciting, right? I'm on Monday and you on Tuesday if it doesn't start naturally.
    We'll see how it goes.

    Hi Tammi and Caroline,
    so you're counting down the days... Hopefully the little ones will kick into gear on their own so induction won't be necessary. Seems nicer to experience everything naturally without any medical interventions like oxytocin etc...
    Thanks! I'm still trying to enjoy my big belly, I'll miss it but luckily we're getting something beautiful in return.

    Tammi, was your labor induced? Our girl decided on Saturday that she wanted to come! On Sunday, January 6th, she was born... quite a handful! 4.075 kg But I'm really so happy that she came naturally... Proud mama here!

    Here we are still waiting, pfff... It might happen soon, I'm already awake since 5am with contractions and have to leave at 6am for a check-up at 7:40am, hoping they'll keep us there. Haha...
