Hi, I've been googling around the name of my daughter; Mijs. I saw that in 2008, one family had given their daughter the name Mijs. Our daughter was born in 1998. We believe it's an old Limburgish girl's name, but we've never found the actual meaning.

    I haven't come across this spelling before... my neighbor's little girl is called Meis. I think it's derived from "meisje" (girl)...

    We're also thinking of Roos or Noor....

    Honestly, I didn't know that Mijs was a name. Whenever I hear Mijs, I always think of Silvy Mijs from TV, but for her, it's a last name. Greetings, Nina.
