very faint line, tested 2 days too early

Hey, indeed, it's nice. I'm so impatient that I tested a bit too early.
I'll probably do another test tomorrow and hopefully our line will be clearer then.
I do have some period-like pain, but I had that with my first baby too, so I'm not worried about it.

I just did a Clearblue digital test and it says negative, I'm doubting, doubting. I think I just need to wait a few more days.

The first test was a Sensitest, which I also used with our first baby. My period isn't due until Wednesday, so it was probably a bit too early to test.

Today I had to hold myself back from doing a 3rd test. I promised the little guy I'd wait until Jan 1st to test, so it's still going to be suspenseful, but my maternal instinct tells me I'm pregnant. Xxx

That's great! Then we'll be testing around the same time. My due date is December 30th. I think I'll test a bit earlier because I can't wait until January 1st to do it.
Do you feel any different than usual? (I certainly don't feel anything strange anyway)

    Maya,
I see that you have the same test as I use. I used 1,2,3, thuistesten. I tested on Saturday and it was HEEEEEL faint positive, (but I thought a line is a line) afterwards I also used a dipstick from 1,2,3,thuistesten and there was nothing to see. Saturday morning I did another midstream and again very faintly a line. I'm now on day 35 of my cycle but I have PCOS so I never know exactly when I ovulated and should get my period.
I've now been working with ovulation tests and a calendar that calculates the average of the past cycles and then I come up with having ovulated on Dec 25 and I have tests that could test 4 days before my period I just don't dare to be happy, I don't dare to believe it because they are so faint.
Can someone relieve me of my fear and does anyone have experience with this here.
    Love,
    Sanne

Hey Sanne, with my first baby I also had a very faint line, and she turns 1 on Saturday.
Sometimes you think you see a line, but it's not there because you want it so much—I had that last month.
If others see the line too, big congratulations!

    Hi Sanne,

I'd say a faint line is still a line, and this test won't show up if there's no hCG in your urine. These midstream tests are quite sensitive, so it could really be that you're pregnant, girl! It's a shame you don't know exactly when your ovulation and expected period were. Are you planning to take another test over the weekend?

Let us know what it says?

    Best, Maya

    Hi Sanne,
maybe you do have a sensitive test. The first one I had was also a sensitive one; you could use it 2 to 3 days before your expected period. I'd wait a few days and try again. If you really want to be sure, you could try a Clearblue digital test—they show the number of weeks, or you can just get a blood test. That way, you usually know the same day! I hope it works out for you! They always told me that a line is a line, no matter how faint it is!! In that case, congratulations!!

    Good luck!!!

    Dear ladies,

    thanks for your info,
Last Monday he was still very faint positive.
I called the GP and got the assistant on the line, she also really thought I was pregnant but very early because it was so faint.
I had arranged to do a test together with her on Thursday.
I'm also super stubborn and raced to the DA drugstore and got a Clear Blue digital and a store-brand DA test there.

    Result: PREGNANT!

    we are so happy!
Despite my PCOS, pregnant within half a year without treatment. Purely natural, luckily no need to take hormones.
Great that it exists but everyone will confirm that it's better without.

    Hi everyone!

First of all, congratulations to all the pregnant mamas!

I'm new here on this site and I'm dealing with the following:

In October, I missed a period. I took a test and it was negative. I called the doctor, who said this might happen because I've been on the pill for a number of years (6) and it can skip a cycle once in a while. I was told to keep an eye on my next period, which came normally. Then, I missed a pill once, and two weeks ago I expected my period during my placebo week. However, nothing came (except for a brown smear, 1.5 days after my period was supposed to start, no further drops). Last Monday, I took a test (a week after I was overdue). It was negative after 1 minute, and I thought it would stay negative. I checked again at 8 minutes, but the test remained negative. When I went to bed in the evening, I suddenly saw two lines on the test! I've never seen that before, no matter how long I left the test. The second line is very clear and pink (see profile picture).

I know you're not supposed to read the test after the reading time. So consider this test as good as negative. But after reading stories online about positive tests after the reading time, I'm not so sure anymore. The test line seems to be further to the right compared to other positive tests from kv 2v5. What do you think if you see my test like this?

P.S. We plan to stop taking the pill in the summer. At the moment, if I forget the pill, we use extra contraception. If it were to happen 'suddenly', we would be very happy about it.

    Greetings, Renate

Hi, I'm new here. I took a test this morning and I see a very, very faint line. I'm doubting whether I'm imagining it, but it was done with artificial treatment last Thursday, so now it's 8 days after the transfer for the first time. I think it might still be a bit too early to test. Normally I should wait until after the weekend for my period to start, but I haven't had any bleeding at all. They say a line is a line, but I'm not sure. Ugh, it's so hard!!
  13. Sanne_x_ #14

    Hi Farah,

In principle, a line is a line, but... I happen to know that if you're doing IVF, and maybe also with other artificial pregnancy methods, you always test positive in the first period due to the hormones you take/inject.
Because of these medications with hCG, you test positive because your body is pregnant due to the hormones and the transfer, but it can still go wrong.

I hope I didn't scare you, but I want to spare you disappointment. For safety's sake, just call your gynecologist.

If it is positive after all, congratulations on your pregnancy.

    Love,

Yeah, I'm going to do a few more tests over the weekend. Normally I'll have a blood test on Tuesday, then test again. I should normally get my period this weekend, but I feel nothing. I really hope it's positive. I already have a child, and that was, of course, only through IVF because he had a heart defect. I hope he gets a brother or sister. I'm doing it with genetics, so we'll see. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your message, it's nice to be able to talk about it!!

    You're welcome.

    Good luck with the nerves.
    I'm rooting for you.

Which test is the most sensitive and reliable?
    Any tips?
I'd really like to get that one to be 100% sure.
    Xx

I always used the cheapest tests, I didn't believe in expensive ones. Well, I have PCOS so I never knew when I could test, the tests I had were supposed to be done 3 days before your period and they stayed very light for 3 days.
Then I went to the DA drugstore and bought a DA own brand and also got a digital Clear Blue, it says clearly pregnant here.

So I would recommend that one, there are 3 in a package so if it doesn't work today you can do it again.

Good luck, I hope it's a hit if that's what you wish for.

Ladies. Tested today on day 32 with an irregular cycle.. And I can see a 2nd line!! Dare not to be happy yet, afraid that it might be a false positive and that it hasn't implanted yet or something. Do you want to check my photo in my profile??
  19. Sanne_x_ #20

I can't look for you, Eveline, because I only see Loesje and no pregnancy test.

    Love, Sanne
