What do you think of the name Bentley?
I need your opinion on something. I'm in week 37 of my pregnancy and we need to make a decision soon about which name to choose for our son.
My husband is absolutely crazy about the name Bentley, and not because of the car brand!!
I think the name sounds really nice, but I'm worried that people will immediately think of the car brand. On the other hand, it's a name that's gaining popularity in America, and that trend will probably spread here too. In a few years, the name might be more accepted without immediately bringing a car brand to mind. What do you all think about this name?

Pick a name that you both love and, of course, think about the future your child will have with that name. But honestly, when I hear the name Bentley, I can't help but think of a car brand right away. Why do you expect others (outsiders) to just accept the name? You're the parents, you choose the name, and do what feels right to you. That's the only advice I can give. -

Our little boy is named Bentley. We think it's a cool name, and most people in our circle feel the same. Of course, there are always some who don't like it, but you shouldn't let that bother you. That's just how it is with all names! -

What a lovely name, but my dog is named Bentley, so I don't think it's quite fitting for a baby (but that's probably just me

I think you should name him whatever you want. We're going to name our son Max, which makes everyone think of a dog right away :-) We'd love to hear from you. They'll get used to it. Greetings -

Oh no, you shouldn't let what others say bother you. I think Bentley is a really beautiful name, and I definitely didn't think of the car brand when I saw the title! :-D -

Gotta be honest, I immediately thought of the car brand, but it's definitely a name of this era... Personally, I find boys' names tricky, but I think your name is really beautiful... and very unique, which I totally love anyway.. -

Hi! When I was pregnant and we were looking for a boy's name, we also thought about Bentley. But every time I thought about it or said it out loud, it just sounded sillier to me. We ended up choosing Miliano
It's a very special name, if I do say so myself, and I'd really like to know its meaning, but I haven't found it yet. I only know that we named our son Miliano in 2009, and in 2010 there was only one other couple who named their son that, so maybe that's a clue Good luck with the rest! -

Don't think about others; they always have something to complain about anyway.
Otherwise, give him 2 completely different names; Bentley........
Then he can maybe choose himself. -

Nice name... My first child is also named Bentley... Only this one is a dog, but I thought the name was so cute too ;-) comes from Teen Moms -

Bentley is nice! ...I definitely think of the car brand right away! But so what! I wouldn't have any trouble with it... I say "go for it!"
