Which last name to choose

Hi everyone, I have a question. I'm 7 months pregnant. My husband unfortunately passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. I'm not sure which surname I should take for our baby—mine or my husband's. I don't know if there's any rule about this, but hopefully, you can advise me. Ella.

Hi Ella, what a sad combination of your pregnancy and the passing of your husband. I'm not sure what the rules are for that, but you could ask the municipality. I'd also go with what feels right to you. I don't know the circumstances, of course. I wish you all the strength and success with the birth and with your little one later on. I hope you get lots of support and love from those around you. -
