Bleeding?

Hi hi!

Hopefully I’ve come to the right place with my situation.

On the night of October 30th into the 31st, I had unsafe sex (the Halloween party got a bit too lively).
My period was due on November 5th; it started on the 4th.
I’m convinced it was a normal period; it flowed just like my periods in previous months.
My cycle is very regular (27-29 days).

Now, on November 19th, I suddenly started bleeding (still bleeding today: Nov 20).
On the 19th it wasn’t much, but it still startled me since I’ve never experienced this before.
Today, the 20th, it’s quite a lot.
It started with brown (old) blood; then bright red blood; but also 'clots' with very dark red (almost black) blood.

A friend of mine told me this could be breakthrough bleeding, which many women experience sometimes, but the timing doesn’t sit right with me.
Why exactly now?! Exactly this month?!
In my opinion, it’s too intense (and too late) for implantation bleeding (though I do hope I am pregnant )
Maybe an early miscarriage (but how? I just got my period)?
Or a sexually transmitted infection?

I do feel like I have a tight abdomen (when I’m in certain positions), I’m very tired (more tired than usual), and I get out of breath quickly.
However, I don’t have any other pregnancy symptoms. Maybe the former is just in my head rather than being related to anything physical...

I’m in the dark, because I did get my period at the beginning of this month.

What do you all think?

Kind regards,

JS (19 years old)

So I was a week overdue with ALL the symptoms, but still negative tests. I really hoped it was true, that I was pregnant... Unfortunately, though, I got my period a week late.

So there's no chance of pregnancy now, right? *cries*

I've NEVER had extra bleeding mid-cycle or been late like this! It's so weird. Should I call my GP? Or am I just stressing over nothing?

You can always call your GP to put your mind at ease, but if the tests are negative, I wouldn't assume you're pregnant. Did you recently stop taking the pill? Then I'd rather think it's due to coming off the pill

You can still call your GP to put your mind at ease and maybe get some tests done. Are you really trying for 2 years already?

I don't get a thing about this story. You write that you stopped the pill yourself 2 years ago. And that you happened to have unsafe sex once that month, and now you're bummed you're not pregnant. Is it true that this isn't a steady relationship? If you're not pregnant from one time with a casual hookup, I wouldn't be so sad about it? Super weird. But anyway. If you are in a relationship, I don't get your comment: "why exactly the month of intercourse." If you're not in a relationship, it seems inappropriate to frame someone you had "a bit too much fun" with on Halloween, and I'd say you should first get a stable relationship before having a kid, but that's just me.
