busy little one and back pain

Hi, I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant and for the past few hours, our little one has been really, really active—much more than usual—and I'm suddenly having a lot of back pain (right shoulder blade). Our little one has already dropped down. Does anyone recognize this??

I'm not there yet, but if you're worried, I'd still call the midwife with this story. They can reassure you, which will probably help you go to bed more calmly. I don't know about you, but I can call my midwife day and night. Of course, you don't just call for no reason, but in this case, it seems like a good reason to me.

Maybe false labor? No idea, I'm only 31 weeks myself

our girl is also very active here...
I started a topic last week because I was worried due to those contractions with hardening belly, pushing pains in the lower abdomen, and aching pains in the back..
I called the midwife immediately and it turned out to be engagement contractions.
I'm now 34 weeks and a bit (almost 35).. and since Wednesday this little girl has been super active! Less intense than before but you really feel her moving strongly.. how do I put it, you feel her moving more inside than before, the movements used to come more outward (you know what I mean??) you also don't see her kicking anymore, it's more like a worm moving inside now so she's more shifting around..
but the pain in my back also radiates to my upper back for me too

If you're not feeling comfortable, just call your midwife!!!

    Love,

    Thanks for your message!
I think it's probably contraction pains, I really relate to your story. Dreams can come true.. Did you sometimes also have that sudden sharp pain way down in your belly, towards your pubic area? Like you just had to sit still for a moment, hehe.. The funny thing is that when I lay on my back last night it felt really uncomfortable, so I curled up on my side against my husband's back with my belly feeling nice and warm, and then it seemed a lot less intense, haha :-P
I'll look up your topic to read it.
    Greetings!

Hi! Yes, I get those twinges too! Sometimes they're so intense that I sink down through my legs to catch myself...

I have trouble sleeping too. When I lie on my side, it starts to feel like I'm lying wrong, and when I try to turn onto my back, I get incredible twinges in my lower belly. It's so weird... But since last night, the pains have been coming back and it's actually not too bad.

Only when I walk a lot do I often get hardening of the belly and twinges in the lower belly, and then I really have to sit down. Then I push my belly slightly upward with my hands, and that relieves it a lot

Yes, I think the topic is under "buikjesbende" or "3rd trimester" with "making myself worried" or something like that, I don't remember exactly haha...

    Love,
