First natural period

Hi everyone,
My name is Femke, 31 years old, and I'm new here.
I'm hoping to gain some experience here.
I stopped taking the pill in August because we want a baby, and 8 days after my stop week, I suddenly got my first natural period. But since I've had it, I've had more pain with menstrual cramps, nausea, and dizziness.
Is that normal? Who else had that? Who also got their period so quickly after stopping the pill?
I should also mention that during my last visit to the gynecologist in June, she said she could see that my pill wasn't working as well anymore.
