Both names ending in the 'lie' sound

Hi,

My daughter's name ends in 'ly'. Now we're considering a name ending in 'lie' for our second child (a boy). I'm really torn about whether this might give off too much of a Peppie and Kokkie vibe. What do you all think?

Our daughters are named Hailey (pronounced hee-lie) and Maylie (pronounced may-lie).

I have to say that we often get confused about how to pronounce them, so in that regard, we didn't think it through very well.

    I wouldn't do it myself!

    I wouldn't do it either, I think.

Our daughter is called Floor... and our little one on the way will be Fleur.

We actually like it... and it's our choice after all . I'd say... pick the name you think is beautiful.

I wouldn't go for names that sound too similar myself. Whether it's Pim and Pip, Loes and Loek, Suus and Guus, Nina and Nino... seems awkward to me. But something like Haily and Charlie I think works fine. If the starting sound is very different... then I wouldn't do Marly and Charlie. It really depends on the specific names.
