I have a son who’s 3.5 years old. The dad and I have been apart since he was 1.5.
Now I’m 12+6 weeks pregnant again. I’m enjoying it, but wow, I already feel so guilty! Even before, I always felt this strong sense of guilt toward my son, like it’s my fault that he has to spend a week apart from his mom/dad every time.
Now that I’m pregnant, I feel guilty already, knowing this baby will be with us every day. Will he still feel like he has his place in our family? Will he still feel welcome?
