Felien or Bette?

Due soon but still on the fence! I’ve liked Feline ever since I saw Bambi as a kid, but I’m worried it might be a trendy name now? I’m leaning toward the spelling Felien because I find it less cat-like and I don’t want people to say 'ine'. I think Bette is really cool, fairly unique, and not weird at all. We could also decide at the birth, but I’m curious to hear more opinions on both names.

Both are lovely names, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Felien.
Felien is very sweet, and Babette flows a bit more smoothly.

I don't think Bette is that beautiful.
Felien is okay, but Feline is more beautiful.

Felien, dear! I think Feline is a nicer spelling, but then people will indeed say 'ine'. Or Philine? Then people might realize earlier that you shouldn't pronounce 'ine'.

I don't like Bette so much, but I do like Jette.

I think Féline is the prettiest. I don't think Bette is pretty.

I think Féline is more beautiful, including the 'ine'. Felien sounds like an abbreviation, and I don't find the other name so appealing.

I used to have several girls in my class with an 'ine' name. Think Nadine, Pauline, Eveline. They were all pronounced as 'ien'. Whether the parents intended that or not So based on my experience, I'd expect Feline to be pronounced as Felien. I do live in South Limburg though, so names get 'Frenchified' faster here.

If we had a girl now, we’d name her Feline. So my preference is Felien!

I think Bette has quite a bit going for it! Cool, retro, unique. Sweet and tough at the same time. I find Felien mainly sweet. Too bad there are a lot of rhymes, but that's just how it is. More popular than Bette though (Feline).

Bette is much more beautiful and unique!

Definitely Feline! But I just don't find Bette a beautiful name... it reminds me a lot of ancient names... but that's purely taste.
