Can you wear maternity pants with a small bump??

Kelly
YESSS, THAT'S POSSIBLE!! And I really recommend it to every pregnant woman! I'm now over 12 weeks pregnant and have been wearing maternity pants and leggings for a week already. It's truly a pleasure. I hardly have a belly yet, but for some reason, my uterus is very sensitive to regular pants and especially to leggings. The band varies a lot from one pair to another. But with some pants, I just fold the band over once, and that works perfectly!

I only found out at 10 weeks and 4 days that I was pregnant. My pants still fit fine, but around 12 weeks I could barely button them or not at all... So I immediately went shopping with an open-pants look and bought maternity pants! And from then on it was wonderful!! No more pressure or belly pain from pants that were too tight And like Molly says, every pair of pants is different! I also had one in the beginning where I just turned the band a quarter turn...

Hi hi! Thanks for the quick replies.. so I can really start shopping.. and which woman, pregnant or not, doesn't like that, right?
I'm just sometimes afraid that it's such a 'gut belly'.. but at 12 weeks it's normal for that to start, right??

    xx

Yeah, that's totally normal Your body is going through a lot of changes, right And your belly is rumbling away because of your little one inside Time for some shopping, because if I'm not mistaken, the sales are starting soon and they're already going on in the Netherlands, at least in Maastricht

Love and enjoy being pregnant and shopping!

    Hey girl...

Just do your thing! Enjoy shopping and pamper yourself! And you totally can! That stretchy band on your pants will adjust to your bump anyway! Every bump is different, but you know what feels comfortable for you! My bump is really starting to show now too! Almost 14 weeks and we're expecting a girl!

Good luck with shopping and enjoy your bump!

    Love,

    Hi hi,

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

Of course you can! It's maternity wear and you're pregnant. I say... just do it. If I'm not mistaken, some chains or brands have lines that align with the trimesters, so the bellies in the clothes are "adjusted" to the number of weeks/months you're pregnant

Unfortunately, I forgot which brands those are

Enjoy your pregnancy and the shopping

    Love,
    Anne

    Hi Sophie2p,

We already knew here too at 12 weeks and 4 days that we're having a girl

My OB/GYN specializes in detecting abnormalities and malformations, etc., but she could already tell from how the baby was lying...

Exciting! Tomorrow is the second ultrasound. Will you let me know? It's totally normal to be afraid something might be wrong! I still feel that way too... and I'm already 33-34 weeks... It's your maternal instinct coming through

    Enjoy it, girl!

    Love,

    Hi Sophie...

So exciting about the nuchal translucency scan! We had ours last week! The first time they tried at 2 hours, she wouldn't let them measure her! The second time we went back, it worked after 1.5 hours! What a stubborn little thing! She was jumping around, walking, wiggling, hoping she'd turn hi hi Good luck, hopefully your little one cooperates ha ha

Yesterday we drove to Lommel... this woman has the very latest equipment and can say with certainty what it's going to be from 13 weeks! Very clearly a girl, she also gives a really nice explanation! I was quite impatient and couldn't wait anymore hi hi.... I already have a son so I find this mega super fun!

oh how nice that you already know so early.. it doesn't matter to us whether it's a boy or a girl but it's nice that you know so I can buy something cute now and then.. (our little one is already spoiled by our friends and family and is only 12 weeks old hihi) yeah being scared isn't fun at all and reading online doesn't make that fear any less intense he but we heard and saw the heartbeat last time, I'm 21 and have no pain or bleeding so it'll be fine he and 33-34 weeks.. nice! Then it's only a little while before you have your girl in your arms.. zaaaalig...
And oh yes, about that clothing line that works with trimesters.. I think that's a pity.. Then you wear that clothing even less long than you already do with maternity clothes! But thanks for the tip
    Enjoy your big belly!

I'm 22 myself almost 23 if I give birth.. hihileuk getting to be such a young mom, huh..
yeah, you have to take everything on the internet with a grain of salt, girl
and listen to your own body..
Here it was different, I was already 10 weeks pregnant before I knew I was I still got my period on the days it was supposed to come during the first 2 months and I was still taking my pill... but now we're so happy and my boyfriend is already counting down... our girl is already being spoiled rotten here!! everyone has already bought or given something... and my partner and I haven't been able to buy anything yet!..

I actually just looked at Prémaman, I bought 1 pair of pants and got 3 free.. and for my few blouses too, 1 pay and 3 free was on sale and last pieces.. and I'm usually a size 36 so they won't go out of style anytime soon... further I just go to my old stores L&L and C&A and I still buy blouses in my usual size XS-S and for rompers I buy them at L&L in my usual size 36 I can still wear them comfortably after pregnancy

Love and you too, enjoy the whole pregnancy!!
  11. sophie2p #12

Yeah, I think I'm gonna do that too.. just buy some little outfits and tunics that I can still wear after the pregnancy, you know.. and I have some girlfriends who are happy to lend me their maternity clothes, super sweet and handy to work with, but for our free time I'd obviously like to have some new things too
And yeah.. in my family they asked, is it planned?? Not our parents but the aunts and such..
And that's when I get it from them.. it was absolutely planned! I'd rather be a young mom than late 30s early 40s.. not that there's anything wrong with that, but we both have stable jobs, our own little house.. nothing holding us back so.. And my boyfriend wanted his 30th kid and it's calculated to be 10 days before his 30th birthday so Well sorted, huh!
    Greetings!!!
  12. Mommy-Of-Nyana #13

oh, don't take those kinds of comments too much to heart, girl here it wasn't planned at all, but we both said at the same time: just because it wasn't planned doesn't mean it's any less welcome!
i'm the youngest in my family, so there were already some jealous reactions because the 2nd youngest is 28 and also just became a dad, so everyone who is older than us and doesn't have kids yet reacted a bit disappointed compared to us, but i'm not letting that dampen my joy, okay
you guys have done that really nicely, hehe.. now let's hope it doesn't come too early or maybe it'll come on dad's birthday!!

yes, i also borrowed some clothes from friends... but on weekends i still like to dress up nicely, showing off that belly and i think you can still look good as a mom!

    Love

Sophie, it feels like a standard reaction, but among us, it seems like everyone except family automatically assumes it was a mistake! Nonsense, of course, because it was incredibly planned for us. But most people seem to think we weren't ready yet or should have gotten married first. I don't worry about that.
What I found more annoying is that we told everyone quite early on because I was quite sick. And really too many people didn't want to congratulate us yet because it could still go wrong! I did get really annoyed about that!
  14. Anne #15

Sorry, but I think it's inappropriate to ask whether a pregnancy was planned or not. And your age doesn't really matter either. If you want to share whether it was planned or unplanned, you can just say so yourself, I think. Once you announce it to your family, it's definitely welcome and heartily welcomed... that's what it's all about in the end!

In our case, the pregnancy was absolutely unplanned. We both wanted kids, but we wanted to wait a bit. We were both studying and wanted to finish our studies first. We wanted to offer our child a more stable foundation. Once we took the test, we were overjoyed to find out I was pregnant. And it was super welcome and more than welcome!!! Afterwards we thought... did we really think that? We're happy that fate decided this for us. It just had to be this way, haha.

As for the clothes. I bought almost all my maternity clothes on sale. Especially because you'll only wear them for a short time. Unfortunately, there were no women in our circle of friends and acquaintances who had maternity clothes lying around.

    Love,
    Anne
