What do you think of the names Yann for a boy (pronounced like Jan) and Robin for a girl? Choosing names is so tricky.. would love to hear some honest opinions

Robin is nice, I’d never go for Yann. Your kid has to spell their name their whole life, while the pronunciation is just Jan. It looks nice, but it adds nothing.
With my son Thies, we considered it because we liked how it looked, but ultimately chose the version without the H, because of the spelling, and in terms of pronunciation it doesn’t make a difference... -

True! Thanks for the tip. We have a foreign surname ourselves and live close to the Belgian border where the name is quite common, so maybe the pronunciation will be a bit easier that way. I just don't feel anything at all for Jan, haha. We'll think about it more. Thanks for the reply!
