toxoplasmosis

Can flies from outside also transmit toxoplasmosis?
It's getting warm again and I was cycling today, and there were really a lot of flies buzzing in my face. Now I'm suddenly wondering if flies might also transmit toxoplasmosis? I can't find anything about it... Is this just an anxious thought of mine? I did read something about keeping flies out of the house as much as possible when you're pregnant, but without any explanation about why?
