1 day before due date, thick, stringy discharge

Hi ladies,
Today is 1 day before my due date and I'm feeling all sorts of things in my belly. Sharp pains on the left and right, very distinct. I just had to go to the toilet and I pushed a little bit, and out came a thick, long, stringy, white, transparent mucus. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I took a Clearblue test yesterday that was very unclear. I think it's negative.
But what could this be?

I had such a stringy discharge before my ovulation. Very clear, long and sticky? There was also a bit of blood in mine. I thought it came because I was close to ovulation, that it was a bit of uterine lining. Because the cervix is slightly open then.
I've also had it more often between my period and ovulation. I searched the whole internet but couldn't find a clear answer on what it exactly is.
It's a bit like a mucus plug you lose at the end of pregnancy in terms of stickiness, but then clear.

That mucus does sound a lot like fertile cervical mucus. Betty is right, you often notice that around ovulation. A blurry test is frustrating, but sometimes it's just a bit too early. If you're unsure about the test result or the discharge, give your GP or the child health clinic a quick call. That way you can feel reassured.
