Big congratulations! They're going to be doing very little, by the way. You'll mostly get a lot of explanations!
    Love and enjoy it!

Cindy, a big congratulations on your pregnancy!
This is also our first baby here.
They’ll do an ultrasound to see if they can spot the little one and figure out roughly how far along you are. As Anke said, they’ll mainly give you lots of information

Warm wishes and good luck with your pregnancy!!

Hi Anke, thank you so much!! Do you get to take an ultrasound home with you or not? And can you hear the little heart already!! I'm really curious, it's all so new!

Congratulations! By the way, they're not going to do much more yet. You'll mainly get a lot of explanation!
    Love and enjoy it!

Hi Molly, thank you so much! I'm doing okay now, but very tired!! But I don't have to vomit or anything, so I'm already happy. The doctor said it might start from the 7th week though!! Hope not!!
Cindy, Congratulations! How are you feeling?

    Congrats!!
At my appointment, they checked if the little heart was beating, if the baby was in the gestational sac, when I'd be due, and of course gave lots of explanation.
It doesn't take long, since there's not much to see yet, but hearing the heartbeat is just super nice!
Normally you can hear the heartbeat from 7 weeks. I happened to go to the gynecologist at 6 weeks, and they already checked if they could hear the heartbeat! Weird but true, it worked for me And they're still talking about a baby with a very strong and good heartbeat, so who knows, maybe your baby's heart is already beating!

Almost mama: I hope I'll hear it too, but I'll be almost 8 weeks along normally, so we should be able to hear it e!! And can you see a lot on such an ultrasound?

no, not really, you can see the little heart beating and you can see that the embryo is definitely in the uterus. because just because you get a positive on a pregnancy test and blood test doesn't mean it can't be ectopic. i also heard that it's possible that the embryo isn't viable, but it can take several days to weeks for it to come out on its own. until then you still have your pregnancy symptoms and it shows up in your blood. that's what i was told at least
but it's fine for almost everyone! so don't worry

    Hi Cindy,
    Congratulations!!!

At my place, they also did an internal ultrasound at 8 weeks. What you saw was like a little chubby worm that was already quite active, and as you were settling in, you could also see its tiny heart beating. It was so special that first time!!!

You'll get information about alcohol use, smoking, sun exposure, what you should avoid eating, and what you need more of... When to have blood drawn for tests, etc. That first consultation was the longest for us.

It's important that you feel comfortable right away and write down any questions you have!! Because once you're there and see the ultrasound, you'll forget everything else!!!

    Good luck
    Best wishes, Olivia

It really varies a lot from one OB-GYN to another, right? With us, we were in and out immediately too bad... We actually changed doctors at 20 weeks because we were so down on how they treated us at the hospital!
Olivia - Anna: no progress yet? You're due this week, right?

Hi Cindy, that's very much appreciated How are you feeling now?
I'm 33 weeks pregnant now.. here they're quietly counting down the days.

    Mja, almost-mama,
I have to go on Monday, the 3rd, to the heart monitor to see if the placenta is still doing okay.
    That's also my due date.
Our girl is still very busy for now, yesterday we even listened to her heartbeat and everything was completely fine.
    Yes, patiently waiting here...
