If a next baby takes longer

First of all, I want to say that I’m so grateful for my two little miracles and I’m super proud of them

But that doesn’t mean I don’t still wish for a third.

With my two kids, it also took longer—32 and 14 months—but it happened spontaneously.

Are there any other ladies who got pregnant spontaneously after so many rounds? I’m already on round 30 now.

I hope there are others who can relate to you.

    Hey,
Oh my, already round 30. That's not easy.
Here, first baby conceived spontaneously in round 14, second baby in round 8 (unfortunately lost a girl after 17 weeks of pregnancy), and now we're in round 16 and still nothing. I've made an appointment with the gynecologist. I'm so happy that we have a child and that we can have children! But I'm also getting very impatient by now; otherwise, he would have had a little sister almost a year ago. I hope there's just something small that they can fix so that it becomes successful quickly We'll wait and see!

Have you already been to the hospital, or are you thinking about it? Good luck, stay strong!

Wow, that's really intense, I'm so sorry about your little girl who was stillborn My husband doesn't want to go through a medical process because our two kids came naturally, but I always think that with help it could go so much faster, and he doesn't seem to realize that every month brings that disappointment again... Did you find a cause with you guys that made it take longer?

    Hey!
I don’t count in rounds, but my husband and I spent 2.5 years trying for our first daughter. Now I’m newly pregnant with our second baby, and it’s been 2 years of trying.
With our first child, we wanted to start a treatment plan, but we ended up getting pregnant naturally. Now with our second, we consciously decided not to start any treatment.

    Hopefully you’ll be pregnant soon!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and it's great that you're finally able to get pregnant naturally after such a long time—it gives me a little hope again. Did you find out the reason why it took so long for you?

    Thank you so much, wondertje3!
We're still being cautious... next week is the first ultrasound... really exciting!
My husband has slow swimmers... don't give up and keep hoping! One day it'll click

Is there a reason for your early ultrasound? My husband only has 4% good sperm...

    Hi sweetheart,
I’m now in round 11 and my son was conceived in round 5, and before that I was pregnant in round 1. Not that this is overly long, but it feels like it to me because I’m still not pregnant, of course.

Congratulations mama_elke! Did you keep your spirits up during those 2 years? I hope everything is going well for you!

We still have to start investigating, so we have no idea what's causing the delay. I find it striking that I got pregnant in the same month both times. Surely there isn't just one month a year when I release a good egg or something? Or is that a bit far-fetched? My cycle is quite short (3 weeks), but I don't know if that's the issue.

It's a shame that you and your husband Wondertje3 aren't on the same page regarding ZHUIH. Did he at least have a semen analysis done? Would you be eligible for IUI with 4% good sperm?
  10. Wondertje3 started this #11

@saar no, IUI minimum is 1 million, he's at 220,000. It would have to be ICSI, but he really refuses to go through the medical process...

Saar: thank you! That's so sweet of you!
With our daughter it was completely different; you want so badly to become mom and dad, and then it doesn't work out... very disappointing, even leading to little arguments... while neither of you can blame the other
When she turned 1, we decided to try again because we had to put in so much effort with her, but this time there was less 'pressure'—you're mom and dad... really want a second child, and finally, one came... now, indeed, hoping that everything continues to go well, and then our family will be complete

Hopefully, you'll get pregnant soon too, Saar!

Hi! I’d also really like a second baby. Our little one is now 1 year and 2 months old. I stopped breastfeeding a month ago and got one period. But now it’s been 32 days and no period yet, and I’m not pregnant... Hopefully, I’ll get a regular cycle soon. With our first baby, it took us 12 months, using ovulation tests and all that... But hopefully, it’ll go smoother this time. I don’t want too much age gap between the kids. ???Good luck, ladies!
  13. Wondertje3 started this #14

@mel 12 months is also a long time glad it finally worked out for you, and in a natural way too
  14. mama_elke #15

Good luck, Mel! Hopefully, it'll happen sooner for you… it took about the same amount of time for us
  15. Mel #16

@wondertje3 that was indeed a long time. We had just taken the first step towards the GP when it turned out I was pregnant.
    @mama_elke
Thank you! Are you 8 weeks pregnant with your first child? Congratulations!
  16. mama_elke #17

Mel, no I'm 8 weeks pregnant with our second baby after 2 years of trying!
  17. Wondertje3 started this #18

@mel, round 30 already. Need to go on June 23
  18. Mel #19

@mama_elke wow! Huge congratulations. Wishing you lots of luck with your pregnancy.

    @wondertje3
Oh my! That’s really not easy, hopefully you’ll have some good news soon. Something like that can make you feel very unsure, eh
  19. mama_elke #20

@Mel: thank you! It still feels so unreal for us, but we're so happy
