Lazy ovaries

Hi ladies,
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a while now.
After some tests at the gynecologist, it turned out I have “lazy ovaries”.
So I started taking Clomid and had an egg ready to go. Normally, I should have gotten my period between Tuesday and today, but it didn’t come.
I took two pregnancy tests, and both came back negative.
Does anyone else have experience with a mystery like mine?

Hi! Does "lazy ovaries" mean you ovulate on your own? I went to the gynecologist last week and she said my left ovary looks a bit PCOS-like on the ultrasound. The right one is fine. I got some medication for the next cycle to take from day 3 to day 7, and then an ultrasound around day 12 to see if one is growing and to measure it. Which day of your cycle are you on now?

Yes indeed, I don't ovulate every month. No PCOS, but very long cycles of 7 weeks, for which I'm now taking Clomid.
I'm currently on day 36 of my cycle. I should normally be getting my period by now, but when that didn't happen, I decided to take a test, but it was negative.
I do have some small symptoms that could also mean many other things, like warm flushes, painful period cramps, and frequent urination.
Could it be too early to test?

Yes, I'm now 2 weeks past ovulation because after taking Clomid, I had an internal ultrasound to see if an egg had developed, so I definitely ovulated (I even felt it).
I just expected that since I didn't have my period, it would be clear by now, but since the test was negative, I'm completely confused.
I'll contact my gynecologist on Monday.
It's all very confusing, I think. The female body is quite complicated.

Yes, I completely understand. It's frustrating, right, when you've been at it for a while and it's not working out. I totally get that confusion and frustration. I'm curious what your gynecologist will say. And if you need to vent or share your feelings, you're in the right place here. It can really help to hear from other women that they understand and share their experiences, because unfortunately, many couples don't have it easy or need help. Lots of love
