Getting pregnant

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum as of today.
I stopped taking the pill a little over 1.5 years ago because I want to get pregnant.
But now it happens that I sometimes get my period only after 2 months, or sometimes even longer than 2 months. Does anyone have any idea how this could happen that there are sometimes months where I have nothing?
I really want to get pregnant and am currently using ovulation tests to see when the chances of getting pregnant are highest.
Because my periods are always different, I never know when the right day is when I'm most fertile.
I looked it up and normally a cycle is between 21 and 35 days.
For me it's much more than 35 days, and since I sometimes have nothing for several months, the number of days in my cycle is always different.
That makes it very hard to find the most fertile day. I installed an app on my phone and it gave me a date for the most fertile day, but it turned out not to be correct because I did an ovulation test and there was only one line on it.
If you can give me advice or help me further with my question, please let me know.

Thank you
Greetings Seline Janssens

As a tip, I'd recommend you try women's wort tea. Half a cup is enough to get your whole cycle back on track. I had this regularly a few years ago and it really helped right away; since then, I've never had any issues.

That's so frustrating that your cycle is so long and also varies. I'd suggest going to see your GP first. Or maybe a midwife who also supports people trying to conceive. Maybe there's a reason why your cycle is so long... maybe something can be done about it... or maybe there's nothing to do, and they'll have other tips for you.
I'd look into that first myself. You've been trying for quite a while without the pill, and it's still such a search.
    Wishing you lots of success!

Did you ever have times when you didn't get your period for 2 months?

    Thanks for the tip.
I wanted to ask for advice here first, maybe some people have experienced this already.

At the doctor's, I got a course of medication, which helped me get my cycle back on track for a while. It's a kind of hormone treatment; I found it a bit less ideal, but maybe it could help you, or they might have other advice.
(But seriously, it might sound unbelievable, but women's herbal tea works wonders.. )
    Wishing you lots of success!

    Oh, I totally get that....
My advice is to see a professional since you've been at this for a year and a half already. They can do a much more thorough intake with you. Ask about your diet, see which vitamins you might want to take, and assess whether additional testing would be helpful. That's hard for us to judge on a forum like this.
I'm giving you this tip because I can imagine that after a year and a half, you don't want to keep fumbling around for another year either.
Just try out the tips that feel right for you! Good luck.
