Hi everyone,

I'm new here as of today.

I stopped taking the pill a little over 1.5 years ago because I really want to get pregnant.

But now it sometimes happens that I only get my period after 2 months, or sometimes even longer than 2 months. Does anyone have any idea why there are sometimes months where I don't get anything at all?

I really want to get pregnant and am currently using ovulation tests to see when my chances of getting pregnant are highest.

Since my periods are always irregular, I never know when the right day is when I'm most fertile.

I looked it up and normally a cycle is between 21 and 35 days.

With me, it's much more than 35 days, and since I sometimes have no period for several months, the number of days in my cycle is always different.

That makes it really hard to find the most fertile day. I installed an app on my phone, and it gave me a date for the most fertile day, but it turned out to be wrong because I did an ovulation test and only got one line.

If you can give me advice or help me with my question, please let me know.

Thanks a lot.

Greetings, Seline Janssens

Hi Selina, welcome. Irregularity can be caused by stress or hormonal fluctuations, especially if you've just stopped the pill. I also had no pattern for months and thought I'd never ovulate again. But after a few months, it started working on its own again. Just check with your GP or the family doctor if it persists for longer. Good luck, you'll be fine for sure.
