Fertility
Low AMH and short cycle
sam
This topic may have come up before, but I'm looking for people with experience and hopefully some hope to offer me.
Because I kept seeing ads for "Grip op je vruchtbaarheid" (Grip on Your Fertility), I had my AMH level tested.
In the meantime, my partner and I had already been trying to conceive for a few months, but you only get a referral after a year.
Then I heard the result of my AMH level: it was 0.58. I was completely devastated, but I still didn't get a referral. My GP called two hospitals nearby, and they said that this value didn't trigger another protocol.
In the following weeks, my cycle, which was usually 24/25 days, suddenly became 21 days. Naturally, I was upset. Fortunately, my GP did agree to refer me.
Unfortunately, it's still a month before I can finally go to the hospital.
In the meantime, on day 16, my period has started again.
It's hardly even worth calling a period; I'm bleeding very little.
Every month I find a peak using ovulation tests, but I keep getting knocked down. Now it feels like my body is failing.
Is there still hope?
Should I immediately ask the hospital about IVF so that eggs can be frozen, given that I'll eventually stop producing eggs if I really go into menopause.
And how fast can my AMH drop further? How much time do I have left? I feel so insecure and so sad again and again.
