No HCG in the test

Hi everyone,
I'm new here. During my first pregnancy, which was ectopic, and ended after 9 weeks, all tests were negative. My second ended in a miscarriage after 9 weeks; it had already stopped growing at 5 weeks, but again, no positive test. Only in my blood was HCG visible both times. Now I'm 12 days late and tests are negative. I had blood drawn and am waiting. I'm so scared it might go wrong again, even if it's already positive. But if there isn't enough HCG, does that mean a higher chance of a miscarriage?
