Pregnant?

Hi there! I'm a 17-year-old girl and I'm really worried about something. I've been on the pill since I was 15, and my gynecologist advised me to take a break once a year. Lately, I've been feeling incredibly sick and weak, and I have a strong feeling that I might be pregnant. In practice, though, I don't have any reason to doubt the reliability of the pill—I did take antibiotics, but my doctor said it wouldn't affect the pill's effectiveness. I've been putting off taking a test for weeks, telling myself "it probably won't be," because I always take the pill correctly, but something just doesn't feel right. Do you have any advice? I'm super scared to take a test because both the father and my parents would react extremely strongly. When I asked my mom if I should take one just to be sure, she got defensive right away. I have a lot of symptoms, but they could also be due to stress. If I were pregnant, I'd be about 9 weeks along now.

The best advice, and of course the question in your answer, is to really take a pregnancy test. Wishing you lots and lots of luck during this uncertain time. Xx
