Naming Ellie

Hi there! We want to name our daughter after my grandma, Ellie. We were thinking of just keeping it as Ellie. Then her full name would be Bente Ellie van Velzen. Is that nice? Or would a more modern variation suit Bente better? Something like Ellis/Ella/etc.? Let me know!

Ellie is just so beautiful. We wanted to name our daughter that too. But a few months ago, an Ellie was born among our friends. So unfortunately, the name is no longer an option for our daughter.
We've already found a new name in the meantime ???? -

I think it's a really beautiful naming. We also named our kids (partially) after someone, and usually used the full name or an abbreviation of it. -

Ellie is indeed a cute abbreviation. I considered it myself but went with a full name. It feels a bit more personal, you know. With the short version, it feels like you're adding another one. But anyway, it's your choice.
