Starting Clomid for the 2nd baby

Hi everyone,
I have a question and maybe someone here can answer it.
Last year in early November, we had our first baby.
I got pregnant using Clomid after taking it for 5 months.
We'd like to have a second child and want them close in age (about a year and a half apart?).
Now my question is: I want to start using Clomid again, but I'm not sure whether I should call my GP first or if I should just call our doctor from the hospital directly.
Does anyone know the answer to this?
