Forum Pregnancy tests, ovulation and ovulation tests

positive, then negative

Hi ladies,

Just sharing my own experience...
Tomorrow is my expected period, but I obviously couldn't resist testing. This led to some doubts. On day 5 before my expected period, a faint positive line appeared on the test. The next day (day 4 before my expected period), I tested again to see if the result was really positive: and indeed, the positive line was more visible than the day before! I didn't test for a few days, but got more symptoms (like slight nausea, sore/prickly breasts, bloated belly, and gurgling intestines), so this morning I decided to test one more time (I still had some left). What do you know.. this test is negative! Same brand, again followed the instructions.
So is it an early miscarriage, or are there others who can relate to my story and were pregnant after all?

@bambi, testing the plus signs is unfortunately often false positive if the plus is still so light I would go to Action.

    Hi Elvira,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to add photos, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work for some reason. I've added them to my photo album now (hopefully). The plus sign was clearly visible on the second day (maybe not described clearly enough in my story).

@bambi it looks like there's a faint line on the left. I'd consider it negative just to be safe and try again

@Elvira, I'll do that. Thank you.

These tests are known for false positives. Try the 2/5 from Kruitvat or the Action tests.
