Which ovulation tests and when should I start testing?

Mom-of-M
Hi ladies,

This month was our first round after I had my IUD removed (Feb 8). I got my period on time that month with a 28-day cycle.
In March, I assumed based on an app that my ovulation was on 03/13 and that I would get my period on 03/27. My period only started yesterday (03/31), so 4 days late.
Now I have no idea when my next period will be. I'd like to start using ovulation tests, but I have no idea which tests to use and when to start. Who can guide me a bit with this?

Thanks!

    Hi mom-of-m,

That's so exciting that you're trying for a baby. Am I right in thinking this will be your second child?

I always use ovulation tests from 2besure (online). Personally, I find them easy to use; they always show a nice clear rise and fall for me, and they're not expensive.

The ones from Action are also cheap and worked well for me.

I'd suggest starting to test from day 10 of your cycle.

Good luck, and hopefully I'll read some good news from you soon.

I used these from Action. I had a 27-day cycle and started testing from day 8 (normally best to start from day 10). I always got a positive ovulation test on day 15 in the months before, and in March it was on day 12 or 13, so I started early to make sure I didn't miss it. We only timed it for ovulation, and it hit this month. Now 6+4 weeks pregnant.

@nancy: For me, this will be my second baby. My son is already 5.5 years old, and for my partner, it will be their first child. Thanks for your reply.
Gemma: Congratulations And thank you for your response.
