Bullied??

Do you guys think of Jackass when you hear the name Jack Arts? We really like the name and hadn't thought about it ourselves, but someone mentioned it sounds like Jackass and that our child might get bullied.

It's just that you're saying it, but that's not what I was thinking.

Oh, if it's not the name, it's their nose/glasses/ears, clothes, or whatever.

Kids will find something to tease about anyway. Just do it!

I wouldn't think of it, Jack Ass. I find "ass" quite different from "Arts."

No, I'm not thinking about it at all!

No, I'm not sharing that link either.

    Thanks everyone!
It's such a shame that one woman said that now. If she hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have made the connection at all and would never have thought about it.
Now I keep thinking about it. Maybe because of my hormones, haha.

    Hi everyone.

I also have a question about a name. I have 3 kids, 2 sons and a daughter, their names are Liam, Adam and Mia. Now I'm expecting a daughter and would really like to name her Ava. Do you think that's okay, considering I also have an Adam? Could this lead to bullying later on? I'd love to hear what you think! And regarding Jack Arts, I don't see any link to Jackass at all! Kind regards

Doesn't make me think of jackass at all! Is anyone even talking about it anymore?

Ava and Adam can definitely work too, I think...

    Thanks for the reply!

    Kind regards

I think that's totally doable, Adam and Ava. Just keep in mind that if people start pronouncing Ava in English, it sounds like Eva... Because of Adam and Eve, I wouldn't go for it myself. But it's a beautiful name, Ava!

    Hi Lou.

Thanks for your reply, I actually think exactly the same. I think Ava is beautiful, but it's indeed Eva in English. I don't dare take the risk that she might get teased for it later. Thanks a lot for your help!

    Kind regards, Amanda
