Sensi extra early

Hi everyone,
I did a test yesterday and today with the Sensitest, the extra early dipstick.
Now I'm suddenly really worried that they might be false positives.
Has anyone here had experience with this, and any thoughts on my tests?

They're very good at sensitivity. Congratulations in advance, take it easy.

A false positive doesn't seem likely to me; it's a pink, broad line. I assume you're very early on. It could still go wrong, which would mean you'd get your period.

@femkex0 I’ve never read that these tests can give false positives, so I’d say congratulations

Tests that often give false positives for a faint line are the plus-sign tests from Clear Blue and Kruidvat

    Hi femkex0

I had exactly the same thing. Test again in 2 or 3 days and you'll probably see the second line even better
Also from here, a cautious congratulations!

I tested with the same one and had a similar result on the first test. I'm almost 9 weeks now. I find this clearly a (slightly) positive test, so I'll keep testing in the coming days to see if it's rising! Congrats in advance.

My line started like that too! Congratulations!

@femke: how many days before your period did you test?

    Mom-of-M

I guess that was 3-4 days before my period. My period was last Saturday.
I just tested with kv and this came up. I think it's quite faint for 2 days after my period, unfortunately????

There's a line. It can go either way. Wishing you lots of luck while you wait!!

@femkex0 A line is a line. One test is more sensitive than another, so it's best to use the same test.

    I see a line!

Femke, so there's a 4-day gap between the sensitivity test and the Kruidvat 2v5? Then the line indeed didn't really darken...
Do you know when you ovulated, or are you not using tests?
  14. Mom-of-M #15

I'm sticking with it, the kv2v5 is really not my thing. I had bad experiences with it during my first pregnancy.

Femke, so there's a 4-day gap between the sensitivity test and the Kruidvat 2w5 test? Then the line indeed didn't really develop...

    Schuimpie

I had a positive ovulation test on Thursday, March 4th. So almost 3 weeks ago.
My experience with Kv2w5 is that the lines usually develop very clearly and really pop... so I'm assuming I'm going towards miscarriage #6...

@femkex0 have you had so many miscarriages already? Was a cause ever found?
  17. Femkex0 started this #18

Yeah, unfortunately so. And I was right, this morning the bleeding started.
My miscarriages range from 5 weeks to 11 weeks. Usually the heartbeat is fine, and then it stops beating around 9/10 weeks.
At first, they blamed it on having too high blood sugar (I have type 1 diabetes), but mine have been well below the guideline for 1.5 years now, so that can't be the cause for at least the last 4 miscarriages. I also make antibodies against my thyroid, but my thyroid function itself is fine, so I don't get medication for it. But those antibodies could be a reason too; it's just very rare that your values are good then..
So basically, they have ideas, but they don't know for sure.

@femkex0 so you don't have a problem getting pregnant, but with staying pregnant

@Elvira Both in the end. I have PCOS, the first 4 were natural pregnancies but with long breaks in between.. and now 2 where ovulation was stimulated with hormones.
So I'm now waiting for the call from the doctor whether we continue with letrozole or switch to something else.
