Symptoms right after ovulation?

Maggie
Hi! I'm Maggie, 27. My partner and I are in round two of trying to conceive. I don't know exactly when I ovulated because my cycles aren't always regular, but my app said it was last Thursday (day 16 of my cycle). My partner and I had sex last Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Now I've had symptoms since Wednesday:
- dull pressure in my lower belly
- occasional sharp stabs in my lower belly, nipples, and vagina
- occasional headaches
- constipation
- bloating
- tiredness (but that's such a vague symptom...)
I do get bloated during my cycle sometimes, but I've never experienced stabs in my nipples etc. before.
It gets worse when I need to poop. Straining is also a bit painful because the stabs get worse. I never have this normally when I need to poop.

Last month I had very watery discharge on the day of my ovulation (also day 16). I didn't have that this month. There's hardly any discharge in my underwear, but I do wipe some off with toilet paper. It seems like it only comes out when I'm at the toilet, whereas last time it wasn't like that. My period is due on February 12th.

Could these already be symptoms of very early pregnancy, or do you think this is residual ovulation pain? I've definitely had this for 4 days now, and I don't normally have this during ovulation. Or maybe it's all in my head and I'm just becoming aware of my symptoms now. So exciting! I wish it were already February 12th.

Best!

    Hi Maggie!
I don’t think you can have pregnancy symptoms this early, because if your ovulation was last Thursday, implantation hasn’t happened yet, so you can’t be pregnant (though you might become pregnant in the next few days, of course).
Since I stopped taking the pill, I’ve also had quite a few symptoms around my ovulation. I didn’t know that was a thing and thought it was all in my head. But apparently, I’m not alone!
Hopefully, you’ll get pregnant this month after all!
    Best wishes,
    A.

Hi! How exciting! You can feel all sorts of things, but it's hard to know what's causing them. It could also be ovulation!

I've got my egg now too, and my discharge is quite abundant and sticky. It's indeed in my thong. Usually, I'm watery the days before, are you sure it's your egg now?

Yeah, it seemed unlikely to me too, but I’ve been reading all sorts of stories from women who had implantation after just 3 days. Obviously, that’s exceptional, so it’s a slim chance. Though it’s just as unusual for me to have ovulation pain for 4 days.
As for the pill, I haven’t taken it in years, so coming off the pill can’t be the reason.
I’m pretty sure my ovulation was around Thursday. It could’ve been a day earlier or later though. Does anyone know if you can still have ovulation pain after ovulation?

I think I ovulated on Friday (not sure!) and had symptoms yesterday and today too. But I only stopped the pill 2 months ago, so that could also be it, of course...

    What symptoms did you have?

A few things that are similar to yours, namely fatigue, stabbing pains in the lower belly and vagina (not in the nipples), and in the lower belly also some short, dull aches. On top of that, I'm also experiencing mild nausea (e.g., less desire to eat than usual, which is very rare haha) and some dizziness (I feel like I should sit down). I don't know if it's anything, though; I'm also just much more aware of my body and every complaint since we started trying to get pregnant. But those stabbing pains in my vagina seem quite noticeable to me; that's something new that I never really had before?

Then I'm curious what comes up for you! We can't do anything else but wait, but if only it were already February 12th, I'd know more.
Can you even feel anything between fertilization and implantation?

Today I lost a big mucus plug. Does anyone here also have experience with this in the very early stages of pregnancy? The above symptoms still apply to me. One more week...
