To do or not to do... Girl's name

AnonymousGuest ·
For a girl's name, my partner has decided it will be Juliënne :-) I'm feeling a bit of doubt, not sure why because I think it's sweet and sounds timeless. I just read a post about regretting a name after 3 years. What do you all think... J.uliënne: go for it or not...

    I think it's a lovely name!
    Why are you hesitating?
How many weeks pregnant are you? Do you have some time to think it over?

I don't think Julienne is a bad name at all. I personally like Julia/Julie/Juul/Jula/Julot (a bit shorter) better, but Julienne is perfectly fine! I've never regretted my children's names. I think the name just fits your child naturally, so you can't imagine it any other way.

If you really don't like it, talk it over with each other again. Otherwise, I think it's a nice name. (My sister is named Julynn, so it fits well with that)!!
And believe me, after that time you really won't doubt anymore!

I wouldn't choose the name myself because it makes me think of julienne soup: soup with very finely chopped vegetables. I think it's a Belgian term and not commonly known in the Netherlands?
Just pick a name that you both like and don't worry about anything else!

I’m also thinking of julienne soup right away... but I’m from Belgium too.
But you should do what makes you feel good, because on a forum like this, you always have supporters and opponents.
