We're really torn between the names Noëlla and Noëla.
Are people familiar with these names and their pronunciation?

    In my opinion, both pronunciations are the same. I'd go for 2 L's myself. Just like, for example, Joëlle.

    With double L

    I agree with the above comments.
    Noëlla with a double L then.
    Just like Joëlle, indeed.

    I also like Noëlle!
  4. Morag #5

    The pronunciation is different, right?
    Noëlla = No-EL-la
    Noëla = No-EE-la
    I'd prefer Noëlla. But more importantly, what do you all think looks best?

    I’d indeed pronounce both of them differently.
    Just like Morag. I find Noëlla more beautiful, but Noëla has its charm too.

    I'd say Noëlla, because my cousin's daughter is called Naëll!!! ;-)

    Our daughter is called Noëla here, and as mentioned above, we pronounce her name as NO-EE-LA.

    That name won out in the end! I just don't see it very often, so I'm not sure if it's correct with the apostrophes. But now I see that your daughter has the same name!

    Noëla
